    Q
Will Bayer Advanced 12 Month Tree and Shrub Protect and Feed II Concentrate harm squirrels if I treat an oak tree that has a borer infestation?
Will your product contaminate my well 20 ft from my oak tree ?
    A

Bayer Advanced 12 Month Tree and Shrub Protect and Feed II Concentrate should not harm squirrels or other wildlife in the area if used as directed on the product label. There are no restrictions for using this on a property with a well, however we recommend to keep products at least 10-15 feet away from a well for extra safety. Be sure that you know what kind of borer you are treating since not all borers can be treated with insecticides.

My pool is close to the Japanese maple tree we plan to treat with Bayer Advanced 12 Month Tree and Shrub Protect and Feed II. If the leaves from the treee fall in the pool, is it safe?

The leaves of trees treated with Bayer Advanced 12 Month Tree and Shrub Protect and Feed II would cause no issue if they fall into the pool.  The amount of active ingredient in leaves/berries is only enough to harm a small insect.

    Q
If my green ash tree measures 120 inches, would I use 120 oz. of Bayer Advanced 12 Month Tree and Shrub Protect and Feed II?
Or four 32 oz bottles. Will it harm the ash tree if an application was made less than 12 months ago as I cannot remember when application was made
    A

For trees, you will use 1 oz. of Bio Advanced 12 Month Tree & Shrub Insect Control Landscape per inch of distance around the trunk.  So yes, if your trunk is 120 inches you would use 120 oz.  It will not hurt to apply sooner than a year from the last treatment

    Q
Will Bayer Advanced 12 Month Tree and shrub Protect and Feed II protect against gypsy moths?
I have 7 large oak trees and the gypsy moths are starting to take a hold in our neighborhood. Haven't made their way to our property yet but I'm worried I won't be so lucky next year. Looking for a systemic as spraying 80-100 foot trees isn't something I can do. The trees all range in circumference of between 70-90 inches.
    A

Yes, Bayer Advanced 12 month Tree and Shrub Protect and Feed II is labeled for caterpillars (including gypsy moths).  Measure the distance in inches around the tree trunk at approximately 4.5 feet from ground level. This measurement is the amount of ounces of product to add to 1 gallon of water.  If the tree measures greater than 50 inches around, pour the required product into 2 gallons of water.

Will using Bio Advanced 12 Month Tree and Shrub Protect and Feed II Concentrate (per label) for a berry-producing shrub be harmful to birds?
I note that insecticide levels of treated plants are only at a level to control insects, yet squirrels could be harmed by eating fruit of treated crabapple trees.
    A

There is no information listed on the product label or SDS that indicates whether Bio Advanced 12 Month Tree and Shrub Protect and Feed II Concentrate would be toxic to birds, so we would recommend contacting the manufacturer, Bio Advanced at 800-331-2867 for more information.
