The Birchmeier REA 15 AZ1 Backpack Sprayer is a pressure-controlled pump which can replace other small-engine-powered sprayers. It allows to continuously adjust the working pressure without producing any unnecessary sound, plus its battery operation time lasts longer. Made with high-quality materials like brass and plastic so it ensures longevity. The Birchmeier REA 15 AZ1 Backpack Sprayer has a change battery system which is proven to work without any interruption. It offers comfort even during a long period of use because it features a unique and ergonomic design. Everything is check and controlled by its electronics including the constant rotational speed, it detects the status of the electrical system if it is either on or off, and it monitors the charge level of the battery. Its hollow cone nozzle helps to equally distribute the product. There is no electrical connection required between the trigger assembly and the motor so it provides low interferences and all accessories can be easily and readily attached. Note that AZ1 backpack sprayer has a smaller battery and lesser pressure compared to ABZ backpack sprayer.
NOTE: You may receive the AZ1 or PZ1 sprayer. According to the manufacturer, there is no difference in the AZ1 or PZ1 sprayer. They are the same product.

Excellent sprayer

If it hadn't been for the oetiker clamps on the pump I would have given it 5 stars. The connecting hoses to pump blew off within a minute of turning and then spraying. I replaced them with worm hose clamps and that did the trick. This is the best sprayer I have ever had. I've worn out many through the years. If you have large jobs that require a lot of use, this is the one for you. it went for hours and I did not have to break my work cycle to recharge. Charges back up within 30 minutes if you are going to do all day jobs. A great buy for the price
The battery on the Birchmeier REA 15 AZ1 Backpack Sprayer will provide up to 3 hours of continuous spray time at the max 44 psi, and up to 3 hours of spray time at 29 psi.
Can you purchase a spare battery since I'd have no way to charge on my pest control truck? Does it pump all the way to empty? The Ryobi electric one I have won't pump anymore when it's down to the last gallon, which is not ideal for professionals.

The Birchmeier REA 15 AZ1 Backpack Sprayer is battery operated, so unfortunately, there is not another way to pump up the sprayer if the battery dies. The battery will either need to be recharged or replaced.
The battery for the Birchmeier REA 15 AZ1 Backpack sprayer is behind a flap built into the back of the unit. You should be able to easily change out the batteries on a job site if needed.
