We would not recommend tank mixing Blindside Herbicide WDG with Tenacity as Tenacity requires a surfactant to use and Blindside does not. Plus they are labeled for much of the same weeds so you would only need one or the other. Per the label: USE OF SURFACTANTS: Temporary discoloration of some turf types may result from use of surfactants or adjuvants with Blindside Herbicide. High temperatures and high relative humidity may increase the risk of temporary discoloration.
Blindside Herbicide would be safe to apply in a lawn with Centipede grass for the post-emergent control of ground ivy. Please refer to the product label for complete mixing and application instructions.
Dismiss Herbicide is a great option for nutsedge and dandelion and is safe for use in St. Augustine grass. The mixing ratio is 0.18-0.275 fl. oz. per gallon of water and will treat 1000 square feet.
Blindside WDG does not list Bahiagrass as one of the tolerable turf types. Blindside Herbicide has demonstrated tolerance on both cool and warm season turfgrasses. However, not all varieties have been evaluated. Turfgrass managers desiring to treat newly released varieties should first apply Blindside Herbicide to a small area prior to treatment of larger areas. We recommend contacting the manufacturer FMC directly at 1-800-321-1362 for clarification or your local cooperative extension office here.
Blindside is not labeled for whitehead broom and we apologize but we are unable to find a product that can be safely used for it on a Floratam St. Augustine lawn that would not also kill the grass. We would recommend checking with a master gardener at your local cooperative extension office to see if they are aware of any products that have been successfully used by others in your area.
For best results, Blindside Herbicide WDG should be applied with a hand pump sprayer or backpack sprayer.
Blindside is applied at the rate of 0.075-0.23 oz. per 1000 sq. ft., depending on the grass species where it is being applied. Please refer to the product label for specific application instructions.
Yes, Blindside Herbicide WDG can be applied to established tall fescue safely if used as directed on the product label.
Blindside Herbicide WDG can be safely used on Kentucky Bluegrass and Tall Fescue. It could harm any others.
It is not recommended to use Blindside on a property with a well. According to the product label: The active ingredients in this product are known to leach through soil into groundwater under certain conditions as a result of label use. Use of this chemical in areas where soils are permeable, particularly where the water table is shallow, may result in groundwater contamination.
Two applications of Blindside Herbicide 21 days apart may increase control of weeds over a single application; however, do not exceed 10 oz. product per acre per year. Please review the product label for more information.
Blindside Herbicide WDG is not labeled for use on edibles or in areas you would plant edibles within at least 1 year of application to be safe. It is only labeled for use on turfgrass.
Blindside Herbicide WDG works best if applied to actively growing listed weeds when the temperatures are less than 80 degrees.
Blindside Herbicide WDG is labeled to control japanese stiltgrass when used as directed on the label.
Blindside Herbicide WDG can be applied to listed established turfgrass for treating listed weeds that are actively growing. It should not be applied near the tree directly under the canopy.
Per the Blindside Herbicide WDG product label it can be mixed with most other herbicides in a tank mix. However, when preparing a new tank mix conduct an appropriate compatibility test by mixing proportional amounts of all spray ingredients in a test vessel (jar) prior to tank mixing with other products. Shake mixture vigorously and allow it to stand for five to ten minutes. Rapid precipitations of the ingredients and failure to re-suspend when shaken indicates that the mixture is incompatible and shoudl not be applied.
Unless there are weeds/grasses on one label that are not on the other there aren't any advantages to combining Blindside with Quicksilver Herbicide.
Blindside Herbicide WDG is not labeled for horse pastures. We would recommend GrazonNext HL Herbicide, as it is safe to use on pastures with bahiagrass. There are no grazing restrictions using GrazonNext HL Herbicide. We would suggest they not be in the area during the application and while the surfaces are wet, once the treated surfaces are completely dry then they can return.
