Per the Blindside Herbicide WDG product label it can be mixed with most other herbicides in a tank mix. However, when preparing a new tank mix conduct an appropriate compatibility test by mixing proportional amounts of all spray ingredients in a test vessel (jar) prior to tank mixing with other products. Shake mixture vigorously and allow it to stand for five to ten minutes. Rapid precipitations of the ingredients and failure to re-suspend when shaken indicates that the mixture is incompatible and shoudl not be applied.
Unless there are weeds/grasses on one label that are not on the other there aren't any advantages to combining Blindside with Quicksilver Herbicide.
Blindside Herbicide WDG is not labeled for horse pastures. We would recommend GrazonNext HL Herbicide, as it is safe to use on pastures with bahiagrass. There are no grazing restrictions using GrazonNext HL Herbicide. We would suggest they not be in the area during the application and while the surfaces are wet, once the treated surfaces are completely dry then they can return.
Herbicides are a lot different than other concentrated products and can be hard to understand at first. The application rate depends on the the type of turf you have and how quickly you apply the product. You will need to read the product label to determine the correct usage rate for your needs (you did not give us any information about the type of lawn, region or application program you will be using so we cannot give you exact rates). The amount of water used to apply Blindside Herbicide is not critical, but should be sufficient for uniform coverage of the target area. Calibrate by determining the volume of water required to treat 1,000 square feet. Use this calibration volume to determine the amount of water and Blindside needed to treat the target area (see the following calibration example). Note: Sprayer calibration (volume of spray needed to treat 1,000 square feet) will vary with each individual operator.
Steps in Calibration:
1. Mark an area of 1,000 square feet (i.e. 20 by 50 feet or 25 by 40 feet).
2. Place the sprayer on a level surface and add water noting the final level of water in the spray tank.
3. Spray the marked area with a sufficient volume of water to provide uniform coverage. Refill the sprayer to the same level as before measuring the amount of water added. The measured water added to the sprayer is the volume needed to cover 1,000 square feet.
The amount of Blindside per 1,000 sq ft:
Cool Season grasses: 0.075 - 0.15 per 1,000 sq. ft. (3.25 - 6.5 oz. per acre)
Warm Season grasses: 0.15 - 0.23 per 1,000 sq. ft. (6.5 - 10 oz. per acre)
Blindside Herbicide WDG is applied at the following rate for Warm Season grasses: 0.15 - 0.23 per 1,000 sq. ft. (6.5 - 10 oz. per acre). There are 43,560 sq ft in an acre so one bottle would treat this size and your turf eight times.
Blindside Herbicide WDG can be applied safely to established St. Augustine turf.
In general, we would recommend killing the undesirable plants with BlindsideHerbicide WDG and then clearing out the dead plant debris before dethatching. You can learn more about these treatments in our Do My Own Lawncare Video Series, too. You can find them on the bottom of our Lawn Care Guides page here.
Blindside Herbicide WDG rates are based on your turf type and target weeds. For example, for sedges the product label states you would use the higher rate given for your turf type. For other harder to kill weeds you would also use the highest rate and for weeds that are marked as suppressed on the label. Or use the lower rate so you do not go over the max rate as it will take multiple applications to completely control these weeds.
You should not use Blindside on any new grass that is not well established. Usually new grass will have needed at least 2 mowings before you can apply herbicides such as Blindside to ensure the roots are strong and the grass can handle the stress.
Blindside Herbicide WDG can be applied to Bermuda grass and should not harm it when applied as directed on the product label. However, applying Blindside Herbicide WDG to stressed turf from heat, drought, mowing, over watering, etc can result in turf injury. You should apply this product in the morning or later in the evening when temperatures are cooler; usually below 85 degrees is safest for your turfgrass.
If there is discoloration after applying Blindside Herbicide WDG as directed on the product label, established turf will generally recover well. As with all herbicides, you should not apply to turf that is under stress from extreme heat, drought, disease, or other similar situations and take care when applying to warm season turfs coming out of dormancy in the spring as they are very sensitive at this time
According to the product label for Blindside Herbicide, Jasmine is not on the list of weeds controlled/suppressed by Blindside Herbicide. However, the product also should not be used around desirable ornamentals, shrubs, or trees. Prior to using Blindside Herbicide, I recommend carefully reading over the product label and to speak with your local cooperative extension.
Blindside Herbicide is not labeled for torpedograss.
We would recommend spot treating with a glyphosate product and reseeding those areas.

Blindside Herbicide WDG is the best product to treat for Barnyard grass safely in Fescue Lawns. Apply at 0.15 oz per 1000 sq feet.
Blindside Herbicide WDG can be used to control crabgrass (along with many other weeds) in St. Augustine grass.
Blindside Herbicide WDG is not labeled for Wedelia. Unfortunately, there is nothing currently labeled to eradicate this plant. We would recommend contacting your local county extension office as they may be able to give you some recommendations.
Unfortunately, Blindside Herbicide WDG is not labeled for Dallisgrass. As an alternative you could use Certainty or Dismiss NXT depending upon the type of turf that you have.
Blindside Herbicide WDG is not safe to use on ryegrass and some other cool-season turf; it is primarily for use on warm-season grasses. A similar product for use on cool-season turf is Solitare WSL or Solitare WDG. Solitare contains Sulfentrazone to target broadleaf weeds and sedges, plus Quinclorac to target grassy weeds like crabgrass. If you only need the broadleaf weed and sedge control, then you can use Dismiss Herbicide, which contains only the sulfentrazone.
Tenacity is a uniqe herbicide in that it has both pre-emergent and post-emergent properties, so it may be especially useful if you need a product to apply at the same time as seeding. Tenacity will target yellow nutsedge but not purple nutsedge or kyllinga.
Blindside Herbicide WDG would be the best option to apply to established Bermuda for doveweed and buttonweed. It is not labeled for basketgrass, unfortunately, and there really are not a lot of options for treating this weed. It should be spot treated with RoundUp, and then reseed/resod in those areas, but see if the Blindside helps control it first to avoid another application.
