Details

Systemic Rose & Flower feeds the plant to promote strong roots and beautiful blooms, while protecting the plant against insect damage for up to eight (8) weeks. This is taken up by the roots and travels throughout the entire plant. New growth is protected against insects for up to 8 weeks. This works inside the plant so rain and water will not wash off the insect protection.

Systemic Rose & Flower kills Adelgids, Aphids, Fungus gnats, Leafminers, Lace bugs, Leafhoppers, Mealybugs, Plant bugs, Psyllids, Soft Scales, Thrips (suppression), Whiteflies, and other listed pests. Apply every 8 weeks during the growing season to roses, flowers and shrubs. 2 lbs. treats up to 16 medium-size roses or shrubs.

APPLICATION INFORMATION:

ROSES, SHRUBS, FLOWERS

Use Systemic Rose & Flower on Roses, Shrubs, and plantings around homes and residential areas to control listed pests. For new plants, apply when planting. For established plants, use before pest damage occurs or immediately when seen. Repeat applications every 8 weeks during the growing season.

HOW TO APPLY

Apply the required amount of granules evenly on top of soil, being careful not to damage the upper roots, incorporate thoroughly into the top soil layer (Wear glove if done by hand), then water in thoroughly after incorporating into soil. For flower beds, sprinkle granules evenly over bed. For container plants, spread required amount of product evenly over the potting soil around the base of plant foliage and water thoroughly. For the first 10 days DO NOT water the container to the point that water overflows or leaks out the bottom of container.

Q
My river birch is 30 feet tall with leafminer, what can I use to help cure it besides a spray?

NYS does not permit use of Bonide systemic granules or liquid drench, which I had used in the past for birch leafminer which worked miracles on my tree. What other product can I use for birch leafiner?

A
We are not sure what we can recommend in this situation. You may want to contact your local master gardener for advice as he/she will be more well versed as to what can be used under these restrictions. You can find the master gardener at your local cooperative extension office.
