    Q
    Will CB-80 Aerosol kill starlings?
I have starlings under the eves that got into the attic thru the holes in the soffits. I'd like to spray it in the holes all over the nests and baby starlings.
    A

CB-80 Insecticide may be harmful to starlings or other birds. We cannot recommend to use this product in any way other than those uses on the product label. We would encourage you to remove a nest that may be bothering you and then seal up the access points so that other birds do not return to the area. You can view our Bird Control Page for more product information about bird control.

    Q
Can CB-80 Aerosol - 17 oz. can be sprayed near electric wires?
There are wasps building a nest behind an outdoor porch light. I am planning to use Tempo dust but I want something to knock out the active ones first so I don't get stung. Will this work? I read that it can be used near electric junction boxes so I was hoping it could be used near an outdoor light.
    A

CB-80 Aerosol - 17 oz. can should not be applied near anything electrical.  Stick with the Tempo Dust applied in the early morning or late evening when the wasps are less active and likely to sting.

    Q
CB 80 safe for clothes if wash after?
To safeguard against bringing bedbugs into house when returning home from hotel stay, would it be safe to put suitcase and clothes in a large garbage bag and spray a little CB 80 into the bag, let the bag set for a few days and then wash clothes?
    A

CB-80 is not labeld to be used on clothing. It is important to note that CB-80 does not offer residual control, so bedbugs need to be sprayed directly for best results.  We would recommend washing your clothing and putting them in the dryer on high heat for one hour, as this will kill any live bed bugs. We would also recommend that you put the suitcase in a sealed bag with a Nuvan Pro Strip.  The bag would need to stay sealed for 3 -4 weeks for best results.

    Q
Can CB-80 Aerosol be used on ropes and lines connecting my boat to the land based dock to eradicate spiders and prevent spider webs?
    A

CB-80 Aerosol cannot be used around bodies of water where there is aquatic life or chance of wind drift into bodies of water.

WebOut Cobweb Eliminator would be a better option as it kills spiders and prevents spider webs on any surface that may support spider web development. This product can also be used as a contact pesticide to kill ants, crickets, mosquitoes, cockroaches, perimeter pest insects and other general pests. This is a Ready To Use product and has a 30-60 day residual outdoors.

Please view the product label for more information.

    Q
We have a tall house and we have a problem with wasps. What is the reach the CB-80 Aerosol spray can?
    A
Aerosols are really meant for indoor use and will not reach farther than a couple of feet.  We do have a piece of equipment called the Dustick Deluxe that is an extension pole that you can place an aerosol can into and will reach up to 24 feet.

    Q
Will CB-80 Aerosol have the same effect as an Actisol unit?
I don't do a lot of roach infestation. But will CB-80 Aerosol give the same effect as Actisol machine?
    A

CB-80 Aerosol is a pyrethrin based aerosol that will act as a flushing agent. The Actisol units can be used with many different chemicals to apply them as an aerosol application to cracks and crevices so yes it is comparable to them.  Though it is only a contact kill and with the Actisols you can use residual sprays that keep killing.

    Q
I sprayed CB-80 on all surfaces in my kitchen cabinets and on my food shelves (not just in cracks/crevices).
Once it's dry, do I need to clean these surfaces before I put food, glasses, plates etc back inside?
    A

CB-80 Aerosol should only be applied as a crack and crevice application and not as a broadcast spray. You would want to clean those surfaces with hot water and cleaning solution before returning the food, dishes etc.

  • Asked by Lisa from Orlando Fl

    Q
How far will CB-80 Aerosol spray? Needing to treat an occasional roach that will get in the top corner where the wall meets the high ceiling that is approximately 4 to 5 ft at an angle towards the ceiling.
    A

While CB-80 Aerosol is a great contact/flushing insecticide for a contact kill of roaches, Insecticide aerosols are really meant for indoor crack and crevice applications along baseboards, around windows, doors, under sinks, cabinets, etc. They typicallly will not reach further than a couple feet.

We do offer professional roach control products in our Roach Control Kit A that offer residual control, growth regulation and a professional roach bait. You would use the aerosol first then clean and dry the area and apply the kit products. Please take a few moments to review our articles and videos on How to Get Rid of Roaches with a successful program.

    Q
Can CB-80 Aerosol kill daddy long leg "spiders"? I know they're technically not spiders. Also is it attic safe?
I keep fighting these things and I've used normal foggers and I spray once a month and even tried ultra sonic units. I have a small cottage with an attic and garage. I think they're getting in the attic then into the house. Can I open my attic access and spray and seal it back up?
    A

CB-80 Insecticide does not exclude "daddy long leg spiders". You are able to use CB 80 on attic you will have to shut off air conditioners, fans, and close doors and windows before spraying. Spray for 20 seconds per 1,000 cubic feet of space. Direct spray toward areas suspected of harboring insects.

    Q
How long is CB-80 Aerosol effective?
    A

CB-80 Aerosol does not leave a residual, it is used for flush out and/or contact kill. If you are looking for an insecticide aerosol to spray on baseboards, cracks and crevices that will leave a residual, you can use Cy-Kick Aerosol instead.
