  • Asked by Dawn from Ingleside, Illinois
    08/07/2017
    Q
Will CB-80 Aerosol - 17 oz. kill bees that have a hive in my wall?
    A

CB-80 Aerosol - 17 oz. can will kill bees that contact the freshly treated area. For bees in walls, we recommend to use Tempo 1% dust. Keep in mind that you should first contact a local beekeeper if you have honey bees in your home so that the bees can be safely removed, if at all possible. It is very important that all nest materials, honey, etc. be completely removed to avoid secondary problems such as insect or mold issues or re-infestation.

    Q
Can CB-80 Aerosol be used on furniture and carpets?
    A

You can use CB-80 on furniture in areas that you will not be coming into direct contact with later. For instance, it would be okay to spray the underside, under cushions and interior seams and fabric folds. Spray a small inconspicuous area to test for staining.   It can be used directly on carpets ONLY if you are treating for carpet beetles per the label instructions

  • Asked by Melissa

    Q
Can this be used directly on poultry? (pet hens, no eggs/meat) the directions indicate it's safety in the coop
    A

CB-80 Aerosol should NOT be applied directly to animals (including poultry). It is labeled for applications to cracks and crevices including poultry houses as directed. We recommend Martins 10%.  When using this product on poultry for Mange Mites, flies, blowflies, mosquitoes, hog lice, fleas or ticks, you mix 8 oz of product in 25 gallons of water. When treating poultry for Poultry Mites, Northern Fowl Mites or Lice, you use 8 oz of product in 12.5 gallons of water applying only 1/2 oz per bird.

  • Asked by Dale from Pleasant Garden, Nc
    09/19/2016
    Q
Is CB-80 supposed to provide instant knockdown of Stink Bugs?
I came home today & my front porch had quite a few stink bugs, I sprayed the stink bugs & they just flew away, I thought this would kill them. I have been using Suspend Polyzone around my home, is there something else to get rid of these critters?
    A

CB-80 Aerosol will definitely work if they're sprayed enough, it is possible that the stink bugs you sprayed fell to their death within minutes of being sprayed. It doesn't kill lthem the instant they're "touched" by the product but within minutes it paralyzes them. Suspend Polyzone is a great product, you can continue to use that to maintain a good residual control around the perimeter of your home as well as around the window frames and door frames. Another product you can rotate with is Temprid SC, you can also find it in our Overwintering Kit.

  • Asked by Alyssa from Ct
    11/29/2020
    Q
I sprayed CB-80 on all surfaces in my kitchen cabinets and on my food shelves (not just in cracks/crevices).
Once it's dry, do I need to clean these surfaces before I put food, glasses, plates etc back inside?
    A

CB-80 Aerosol should only be applied as a crack and crevice application and not as a broadcast spray. You would want to clean those surfaces with hot water and cleaning solution before returning the food, dishes etc.

  • Asked by Jackie from Readville, Ma 02136
    08/15/2018
    Q
I have a CB-80 aerosol can. When is the best time of day to spray for bees?
    A

CB-80 actually is not labeled for bees.  If you want to use an aerosol product for bees that will provide a quick knockdown, we would recommend using Wasp X or Wasp Freeze instead, applied in the morning or in the evening, when bees are least active.

  • Asked by Jennifer from Brahtenal, Ohio
    05/29/2021
    Q
Are CB-80 fumes harmful to clothing hanging in closets?
I am advised that spaying in a clothes closet will eliminate larvae of clothing moths. Do the residual fumes damage clothing?
    A

CB-80 Aerosol does list small flying moths as a target insect. The product label states that when treating inside of closets, to remove all clothing and other articles before applying the product. You can use this to flush out cracks and crevices to try to control larvae there. Keep in mind that this is a contact kill aerosol only, though, so it does not have any residual once the spray has dried.  You can also read our article on How to Get Rid of Clothes Moths, for more treatment information by clicking here.

  • Asked by Joseph from Philadelphia
    06/21/2021
    Q
Will CB-80 Aerosol stain vinyl siding?
    A

CB-80 Aerosol should not stain any surface its applied to, however we nor the manufacturer can test for all surface applications. We would recommend testing in a small inconspicuous area first before treating in a wider area where you have the pests emerging. Unless you are spot treating only behind the siding, we would recommend using a concentrated product you mix with water and spray in that area instead since aerosols are not going to hold up to the outdoor elements as well and are used more for spot treatments to flush insects out as a contact kill. Cyzmic CS would be a great option for residual insect control outdoors.
