The Chapin Professional Hose End Sprayer is a multi-function sprayer with a metering dial for precise spraying efficiency. The sprayer has a sturdy poly tank and a firm-grip handle. There is a brass mixing head with 16 mixing ratios and an anti-siphon feature to prevent backflow. It is designed to fit any standard garden hose. With 32 ounces of concentrate, the product can spray 320 gallons. For convenience, the preferred chemical is mixed with water.

Better then the first one I bought

It was difficult to pick one since they look the same online. I bought one that was more of a green color the first time. I like this one because it has more durable, metal, parts. Also, it seems to just plain work better. As you swing it side to side the reservoir stays upright, even as you rotate the sprayer. The deflector can be rotated as well. I keep it cock as an angel, which allows the spray to cover near/far at the same time.

A great hose-end sprayer with a simplistic metering system. One major problem: The gasket between the adapter and bottle swells when exposed to the commonly used pesticide "Malathion." To date, I am waiting for Chapin to respond after submitting their request for the Malathion Safety Date Sheet (SDS).

What setting do I use to get a proper application for: 500sqft use 4.3oz in 1 Gal 2000sqft use 1.1pt in 4 Gal
The Chapin Professional Hose-end Sprayer with Metering Dial (G362D) is a great device, however it would not be what you can use for your specific chemical application needs. You will ideally need to use a tank sprayer of some variety to mix the solution and spray the correct amount of herbicide over the correct square footage. The Chapin Hose End unit does not have a setting that will meet your needs. If 1 gallon covers 500 sq/ft, you can use a 1 gallon tank 4 times to cover 2000 sq/ft, a 2 gallon tank twice, or a 4 gallon tank once to spray the whole 2000 sq/ft space.
