do they capture or kill the moths?
According to the manufacturer, CideTrak IMM Moth Lures are an insecticide by law, but it does not capture or kill the labeled moths. It is a mating disruptant (stops life cycle) that works using several different modes of action. This product effects moths by causing sensory overload, false trail following or delayed or denied mating.

The CideTrak IMM Mating Disruption is recommended for use in larger facilities. We do offer a Pantry Pest Kit that contains traps to disrupt mating when all males are captured in the ProPest Traps (lured by phereomone attractant infused in the glue in the trap).
