Cy-Kick CS when mixed with water is only strong enough to kill small insects, like ants. Your dog would have to eat a truckload of grass most likely to get sick, and he/she would probably get much more sick from the grass then the Cy-Kick. However, of course we recommend anything you can do to minimize your dog from eating the grass. Pets should be out of the area during treatment until the area is dry as well.
We apologize, we are not ware of a generic of Cy-Kick CS. We do offer other synthetic pyrethroids like Talstar which will offer the same effectiveness at a better price point.

In almost every case where people have spring tails they also have a moisture problem such as a leaking or sweating pipe, poor ventilation in their crawl space, lots of wet mulch right up next to their structure, etc. You must locate and correct the moisture problem to get rid of the spring tails, insecticides alone will not do the job. Termite prevention is very different that prevention for surface pests since termites travel and stay under the ground or in their protective mud tubes. Cy-Kick CS is not labeled for use in areas animals would graze so you would have to keep applications at least 25 feet away from any grass they would graze. The only insecticide that we have that would be safe for grazing area is Essentria All Purpose.
Cy-Kick CS does not specifcally list Japanese beetles on the label. Demand CS can be used for adult Japanese beetles at a mix ratio of 0.2 fl. oz. per gallon of water.
Cy-Kick CS is only applied along baseboards and in cracks and crevices. If it was applied along baseboards and you mop the floor, it will be removed. We would recommend avoiding mopping the edges of the floor there.
