    Q
Will the Cyonara 9.7 be the best general purpose pesticide if I am targeting insects like ants, spiders, and scorpions?
    A

Cyonara 9.7? is a great insecticide that is labeled for many insects including ants, spiders, and scorpions. While ?Cyonara 9.7 is not a repelling agent, it will eliminate all insects that come in contact with a treated surface for an adequate amount of time. It is important when making the application that window frames, door frames, soffits, eaves, places where cables, pipes and wires enter the structure and any other crack, crevice or gap that insects can use to gain entry into the structure that are all sprayed with the Cyonara 9.7.

    Q
Will Cyonara 9.7 kill carpenter ants?
We need to control carpenter ants that have started showing up around the house foundation. Will Cyonara 9.7 kill carpenter ants? (The label does not SPECIFICALLY say for carpenter ants).
    A

Cyonara 9.7 is labeled for ants in general, but not specifically for carpenter ants. A better option would be Taurus SC. It can be used around the perimeter of your home for carpenter ants up to four times a year depending on the mix rate.

Please take a moment to look over our Carpenter Ant Guide for more information on how to treat and prevent carpenter ants.

    Q
Will Cyonara 9.7 kill powderpost beetles?
    A

Cyonara 9.7 will only kill those beetles that are sprayed directly or that crawl on a treated surface and the label states should not be used alone for wood infesting pests but as a supplement.  For powder post beetles, we would recommend using Bora-Care. The wood you are applying this product to must be untreated, meaning no sealants. You will use 1 gallon of Boracare with 1 gallon of hot water. You can either spray the wood or paint it on. Once the product is dry, you can apply any type of sealants to the wood.
