Cyper TC when applied as a trench will stay in the soil about 3 years.
This could take time (many factors-when they actually reach the treated space to eradication) as Cyper TC is not immediate and will only eradicate those that come in contact with the treated areas during the four week residual. If you are treating for ants, baiting is very effective. Please check out our Ant Control Kits and treatment article for helpful tips.
You will mix between 0.5-2 gallons of Cyper TC to make 50 gallons of mixture depending on the application. Please refer to the product label for complete mixing instructions for the targeted pest.
For most general pest control applications, you will use 0.5 fl oz of Cyper TC per gallon of water. Please refer to the product label for complete application instructions.
The Chapin Wet / Dry Hose-End Sprayer #6005 or Ortho Dial N Spray Hose End Sprayer would be a decent choice for hose end sprayer applications. For the most accurate application, we suggust using a hand pump sprayer as calibrating the hose end sprayer to disburse the right amount of product per gallon of water is not always the most accurate.
Cyper TC is not labeled for use indoorsfor general pest control.
For treating a yard, you should apply 1 ounce of Cyper TC per 1000 square feet. It does not matter if the 1 ounce you are applying is in 1 gallon of water, or 10 gallons of water, it's really however much water it takes to cover a 1000 square feet. So depending on your sprayer, if it takes you 2 gallons to cover a 10 x 100 square foot area than you would add 1 ounce to every 2 gallons in your sprayer for every 1000 square feet of yard.
Dogs can be allowed outside as soon as Cyper TC has dried. Cyper TC is not labeled for indoor use so we would not recommend it for roach control in the kitchen. Instead, we would recommend that you use one of our Roach Control Kits. The kits contain everything you would need to completely eradicate a roach infestation. No, Cyper TC and Suspend SC cannot be mixed together and used indoors for roach control. Cyper TC is not labeled for use indoors for roach control. We recommend that you use our one of our Roach Control Kits for indoor treatment of roaches.
Cyper TC should not be used around bodies of water as it is toxic to aquatic life. A good choice for general insect control on a dock around a pond would be Essentria IC3.
Cyper TC should be mixed at 5.1 oz to 122 oz of water (1 gallon of finished solution) and 2 gallons to 48 gallons of water (50 gallon of finished solution) for a 0.1% emulsion. Please refer to the product label for the mixing chart and details on mixing for the area and insect that you are targeting/treating.
Cyper TC only has a residual of about 30 days outside and 90 days inside on surfaces so would not provide a full year of killing insects and there is not an insecticide that would do so.
Unfortunately there is not a product on the market that is labeled or recommended for hookworms so we cannot recommend using Cyper TC to treat them. While some insecticides that are labeled for turf or lawn infesting insect may work, there has not been enough research to add hookworms to the product labels and none would kill the eggs. We recommend that all animals be moved out of the contaminated area for at least 1 year (during warm spring/summer months, longer during cool winter/fall months) and all feces be removed. Keeping the animals out of the contaminated area for at least 1 year should help control the infestation pattern. It is also important to remove feces from the new latrine area to avoid another infestation. Another option is to remove the contaminated soil and replace if you cannot keep out for 1 year
Cyper TC should be mixed at 5.1 oz to 122 oz of water (1 gallon of finished solution) for a 0.1% emulsion.
No, Cyper TC cannot be mixed with with malathion. It is never a good idea to try to mix insecticides unless the label instructions clearly state that you can do so. Mixing insecticides can cause them to not work properly.
No Cyper TC can not be sprayed on asphalt or pavement to treat for fleas. No insecticides are labeled for that type of use. Apply to all the surrounding areas to treat for the fleas (ie lawn, ornamentals, landscaped areas, etc.).
