Demand CS Insecticide is not labeled for Nooseums.
We would recommend using Talstar P. It is a very good general insecticide that is labeled for noseeums. This can be broadcast across your lawn, sprayed on bushes, trees, flowers, etc. It should not be sprayed on water or any type of edibles. You will mix 1 fl. oz. per gallon of water. At the highest usage rate, you will use 0.8 fl oz of Demand CS per gallon of water to cover a 1,000 sq ft. You may view the full product label here to see complete application instructions..
Although Demand CS Insecticide will kill ants if they come into contact with the treated area, we would suggest the products included in our Outdoor/Indoor Ant Kit, which contains the professional pest control products you need to control most common species of ants found inside and outside of homes and other structures and is designed primarily for customers who are dealing with active ant infestations both indoors and outdoors.
Demand CS Insecticide only works through contact. If the insects do not make contact with the residual where you sprayed, it will not kill them. It also will not move through the soil to go underground.
For lawn applications, mix between 0.2 to 0.8 fluid ounces of Demand CS per gallon of water, depending on the severity of the infestation, with one gallon of mixed solution typically covering about 1,000 square feet. Use a pump or backpack sprayer to apply the mixture evenly across the lawn, focusing on shaded, moist areas where earwigs tend to hide, such as under mulch, rocks, and leaf litter. It’s also important to treat the perimeter of your home and around entry points like doors and windows if earwigs are entering the house.
Yes, Demand CS can be applied with a mist blower.
Unfortunately nothing can be done once edibles have been sprayed with Demand CS Insecticide. The edibles must be disposed of & not be consumed from for at least a year.
Demon WP and Demand CS are both broad-spectrum residual insecticide concentrates that can be used indoors, outdoors, attics, and crawlspaces. However, Demon WP is a wettable powder that offers a faster knockdown whereas the Demand CS is microencapsulated and has a longer lasting residual. Both insecticides would work very well. Keep in mind that because Demon WP is a wettable powder is does leave a white powdery film on treated surfaces and Demand CS dries virtually clear.
If you have applied a different pesticide prior to applying Demand CS Insecticide, you will want to wait 30 days before applying Demand CS.

If you are referring to Demand CS that was manufactured and is being applied in the United States, then currently on the product labels it can be applied in a residential area as a perimeter barrier. However, we can not speak on a product that was manufactured or being applied in Canada. Recently the EPA has designated lambda as an increased environmental risk and therefore they have prohibited it from being used in any residential lawn and turf settings moving forward. It is always recommended to follow your label instructions.
