    Q
Is Demon WP harmful animals such as dogs and cats if sprayed on baseboards in the house for roaches etc??
    A

Demon WP is safe to use around children and pets when mixed and used correctly. Keep children and pets out of the area until the application has had enough time to completly dry, once dry it is safe to resume normal activity. With most professional products such as Demon WP, once you mix it with water it is only strong enough to kill small insects.

    Q
Cockroaches are coming in the hotel room from outside. Please tell me which product is best?
I have a 42 room hotel, and I'm having problem in five to six rooms. I find dead (big) cockroaches more or less everyday. Please advise me on which product I can use.
    A
The best product we have for the larger cockroaches, or American cockroaches, is a product called Demon WPDemon WP is a wettable powder that you mix with water in a one gallon sprayer.  Wettable powders are easier for the roaches to pick up on their bodies, and they pack more of a punch which is what you need when treating for larger roaches. Since the larger roaches come from the outside, you want to concentrate your spray on the outside of the building.  Spray 2 to 3 feet up onto the building and 2 to 3 feet out onto the ground.  You can also treat inside the rooms where you have issues.  Demon WP is not only labeled to treat roaches, but almost any other insects you may have a problem with including spiders, ants, silverfish, etc.  You should apply once a month for best results.

    Q
    Demon WP with allergic child
My son has an allergy to pyrethroids requiring ER treatment in the past. He was getting ill and sent home from school. I found out later they are spraying Demon WP inside several times a month. They spray in the bathroom and changing room via broadcast. Why would it be safe when dry if it can persist inside for 3 or more months? How can the area be cleaned, so my son will be safe at school?!! What is safer to use inside? The teacher also had severe breathing problems the last time they sprayed.
    A
We can not give advice on sprays that would work for sensitive individuals or in schools. Each state and county have their own regulations that govern what they can and cannot use in schools. You can check with your local school board for their list of pesticides that can be used indoors. For more information on Demon WP and its use around sensitive individuals, you can contact the manufacturer Sygenta at 1-866-SYNGENTA.

    Q
Carpenter bee started a hole, it's not big enough to enter. Can I plug the hole now without treatment?
Type of wood is plywood, not yet stained. Do I need to varnish also to keep bees away? Thanks
    A
Yes, you can plug the hole without treatment if the hole is not big enough for the bee to enter. You should note that the bee may return and start to drill a new hole unless you apply an insecticide such as Demon WP. Some bees will actually bore through paint and varnish so using an insecticide is the only surefire way to get rid of them.

    Q
Can spraying the exterior of a house with Demon WP drive smokey browns INTO a house?
We had a smoky brown cockroach problem in the soffit/fascia of our house. As far as I can tell, I've gotten rid of nearly all of them by baiting the primary harborage areas (i.e. where I see them at) with Advion. However, I wanted to spray the soffit and fascia to prevent reinfestation and kill any that are remaining. Question: Can spraying the exterior cause them to seek shelter in the attic? Should I go in the attic and "spray out" instead?
    A
Typically it will not drive them inside because Demon is not necessarily a repellent, meaning the roaches try to avoid the area.  Roaches will walk over where you spray and get the product on their bodies.  Although they can make it inside before dying because Demon WP will take a little bit of time to kill the roach, they should be dead by the time they make it inside.  It definitely would not hurt to spray the attic space for good measure.

    Q
Can I use Suspend SC inside and outside perimeter of my home?
I have roaches coming in from outside of my house. I want to keep them out and kill them when they do enter. Which product should I use for both?
    A
Suspend can be used but it does not have a very quick knockdown which is what you need for large roaches entering from outside.  The best product we have for the larger cockroaches, or American cockroaches, is a product called Demon WP.  Demon WP is a wettable powder that you mix with water in a one gallon sprayer.  Wettable powders are easier for the roaches to pick up on their bodies, and they pack more of a punch which is what you need when treating for larger roaches.  Since the larger roaches come from the outside, you want to concentrate your spray on the outside of the house.  Spray 2 to 3 feet up onto the foundation and 2 to 3 feet out onto the ground.  You can also treat inside the rooms where you have issues.  Demon WP is not only labeled to treat roaches, but almost any other insects you may have a problem with including spiders, ants, silverfish, etc.  You should apply once a month for best results.

    Q
I am having a serious Boxelder bug problem.
I have had them for years! No one can get control, not even the pros. They get a treatment and move to another area of the yard. Now they are working their way inside. I also am starting to get roaches; I bought a dryer from a yard sale. Now they just appeared a few days after that. Don't know if they came in with the dryer or not. Again, the pros cannot get control. HELP!!! I do have a small dog and grandbabies on the way. They are also a problem down the road from me. They are in multitudes and I have never seen nor dealt with anything like this.
    A
Outdoor applications of Demon WP made once a month October - November can help you get control of the boxelder bugs, though you must understand that it will not drive them off of your property, it will only stop most of them from gaining entry into your home. You should also take the time to inspect the outside of your home and seal up any cracks, crevices or gaps you find so that you are limiting places where the insects can enter your home. Demon WP will also help eliminate roaches from your home but you will need to use it in conjunction with a high quality roach bait gel and an insect growth regulator as roaches like to hide and may not readily come into contact with treated surfaces. You can find both a roach bait gel and an IGR sold together in our Roach Control Kits. When the actual application of the Demon WP is being made all pets and children should be out of the house, and they can return as soon as the treated areas are dry. The roach bait gel should be placed directly into cracks and crevices around counters, sinks, drawers and cabinets. This will make the gel available to the roaches and inaccessible to your pets and children. The Gentrol Point Source do not actually contain any insecticides, just an insect juvenile growth hormone mimic. These discs can also be placed out of reach of children and animals and are readily used in sensitive locations such as hospitals and day cares everyday. Severe infestations may take several months to eliminate no matter what products you use. Sanitation will be a key factor in eliminating the roaches. Please take a few minutes to read the hints and tips in our German Cockroach article and our Boxelder Bug article to learn more about eliminating these pests.

    Q
How do I keep sewer roaches out of my house?
I had wasps in my apartment and I used raid foggers to kill them, and I returned home to find dying wasps and a sewer roach in my room on the carpet-IT WAS HUGE. I'm terrified and have not been home since. I see the sewer roaches outside everywhere and I'm on the 2nd floor and I have no idea how it got in. I talkedd to my downstairs neighbor and she's seen 6 of them. I'm scared to death and I just signed a 1 yr lease..how can I avoid them ever coming in again if they haven't already-I'M SCARED TO DEATH TO GO HOME!??
    A
You can spray all of your interior and exterior door frames, window frames and places where cables, pipes and wires enter through your walls with a good residual product such as Demon WP to help stop this pest from  entering your apartment. With apartment living you do have the issue of having pests from your neighbors apartment enter into your apartment through the walls. You can help reduce this risk by sealing up as many cracks and crevices as possible with caulk.

    Q
Can I spray Demon WP in my ducts for scorpion control?
Scorpions are falling out of my A/C ducts can I spray into my ducts, is it safe
    A
You cannot spray Demon WP or any other insecticide into your ducts. You can spray all around the exterior of your home and in your crawl space if you have one and around the vent covers. You should thoroughly check your duct work for holes and seal up any if found. In most cases insects are not actually in the ducts but instead they are crawling on exterior of them and then squeezing out beside the duct and coming out of the vent cover. You should remove the vent cover and caulk around the duct so that there are no opening allowing insects to pass beside the ducts and out of the vent covers.

Will Demon WP work on Japanese beetles?
    A
Demon WP is not actually labeled for Japanese beetles though Japanese Beetles that land on treated surfaces will most likely be effected. We do recommend that you choose a product that is labeled for Japanese Beetles such as Talstar P for best results.

    Q
Is Demon wp a fast acting insecticide when dry?
    A
Demon Wp is one of the strongest products still left on the market.  That being said it will not kill immediately once dry after a spider walks over it.  Spiders are especially hard to kill because their main bodies are up off of the ground and they do not groom their legs like other insects.  There is no product that will kill very quickly, within minutes, after it is dry.  Only contact kill products, aerosols mainly that are sprayed directly on a spider, like Raid, will kill it that fast.  Demon is still considered the best residual product for spiders.

    Q
Demon WP comes in either 4 water soluble packets or a 1 pound can. What is the weight of the 4 packets?
I'm trying to compare the price of the packets to the 1 pound can. If I use 1 packet per gallon, how many gallons would the 1 pound can make?
    A
Each water soluble packet equals .33 oz of Demon which is the equivalent of 1 scoop of Demon from the 1 lb jar. If you use the 1 scoop per gallon usage rate you can make 48 gallons of solution.

What is the right concentration for me to use Demon WP solution for ant control? Instructions? Thanks.
I bought 2 pounds in two jars.
    A
You can use 1-2 scoops per gallon of water for ant control with Demon WP. Most folks use the higher usage rate for the initial treatment and the lower usage rate for maintenance treatments. You can see the full instructions by reading the product label which needs to be peeled off of the jar or by following this link: Demon WP Product Label

Can Demon WP be used on Wisteria for Kudzu infestation?
I have a BAD infestation of KUDZU bugs they are everywhere and they stink I cant go in my backyard in aternoon they are everywhere and they STINK. But they are in giant bunches on my wisteia. Can I spray on my trees/ vines that they are infesting
    A
Demon Wp can be applied to trees, however, it does have a tendency to leave a white powdery residue. A better option would be Talstar P . Talstar P leaves a residual that is clear and odorless. You would want to retreat at least once every 4 weeks to continue the residual effect.
