  • Asked by Dawn from Alachua

    Q
When can I wash my floors after applying Demon WP?
    A

We generally recommend cleaning surfaces before applying residual insecticides such as Demon WP. If you are scrubbing an area with soap and water or other cleaning products, then you would also be removing the residual insecticide, so you would not clean those areas after spraying unless you also want to remove the insecticide or plan on retreating again soon. Keep in mind that Demon WP should be used indoors only as a spot or crack and crevice spray.

  • Asked by Dj
    04/14/2010
    Q
What is the best product for stink bugs?
    A
Stinkbugs can be eliminated with Demon WP. In fact, we offer Demon WP in our stinkbug/overwintering kit because it is so effective. Stinkbugs are not listed on the label of most insecticides yet because they have only started becoming a problem for homeowners and property owners in recent years. Be sure to spray eaves, soffits, window frames, door frames, areas where cables, pipes or wires enter into the structure and any other crack, crevice or gap where insects can harbor. Stinkbugs that are indoors should be vacuumed up. It is also important to seal any holes, cracks, crevices or gaps where the stinkbugs are gaining entry.

    Q
Should I wear a mask when spraying Demon WP? If so, what strength?
    A
You do not need to wear a mask when spraying Demon WP unless you are spraying in a small confined area or an area that has poor ventilation. If you find that you will need a mask for the application we recommend using the Comfo Classic Respirator Mask with P100 Cartridges.

    Q
If a dog eats grass that has dried demon wp will it poison them?
We sprayed around our foundation yesterday. Sometimes our dog eats grass. If she was to eat grass around the foundation that had dried demon WP, would it poison her?
    A
The small diluted amount of Demon WP that is left on grass after an application has dried should pose no threat to your dog even if he eats a bit of grass that has been treated.

  • Asked by Tonia from Greenbelt, Md
    07/24/2012
    Q
Live in apt. Have been using Advion and boric acid for roaches. Roaches still alive.
Keep getting straglers about once per month. Could the bait gel be attracting them? Perhaps I should start using spray.
    A
You should definitely be using an insecticide spray to stop new roaches from moving in. Demon WP is one our most popular roach control sprays. You can also caulk all of the cracks and crevices around the baseboards, door frames, window frames and places where cables pipes and wires enter through the walls to block the passage of roaches from your neighbors apartment into your apartment.

  • Asked by Michael from Naples, Fl
    02/04/2013
    Q
Can I use Demon WP, Maxforce magnum and Gentrol all at once or should i use them all at different times?
    A
You can use them all at once. The Maxforce Magnum should be applied by placing one small pea sized dot every 10-12 inches directly into cracks and crevices around counters, sinks, drawers and cabinets. You should use one Gentrol Point Source disc for every 75 sq ft of space. In order to know how many discs you should use you would need to know the square footage of the room (multiply the length of the room by the width of the room) (If you have the Gentrol Liquid you can mix it in the same gallon of water as the Demon and spray them together indoors). Demon WP should be sprayed outdoors around door frames, window frames, in areas where utilities (cables, pipes, wires) enter into the structure, around the bottom of the foundation and other areas where insects are known to harbor. Inside you should apply Demon WP along baseboards, in cracks and crevices, under appliances, around door frames, window frames and in areas where utilities (cables, pipes, wires) enter into the structure.

  • Asked by Cee from Cedar Hill, Texas
    11/04/2013
    Q
When spraying the Demon for roaches does it normally bring out more roaches than usual?
It seems as if the sightings are more frequent after using Demon.
    A
Demon WP is a repellent and it is possible to be detected by the roaches.  However if you are following the instructions on the product label it should not bring out more than usual.  If you are not using a roach bait gel we recommend to use Maxforce FC Magnum. The Maxforce FC Magnum is the newest and fastest-acting roach bait ever by Maxforce. With Maxforce Magnum you get five times the fipronil, plus a new technology called ContactX(TM) which kills roaches by contact as well as ingestion. We also have an application video on Maxforce FC Magnum page to show how and where to apply the bait.

    Q
How much demon per gallon of water for roach control?
Any issues with use around caged parrots?
    A
You would use 1-2 Demon WP Insecticide water soluble packets per gallon of water for roach control. Use the higher ratio for a clean out and lower concentration for maintenance. You would want to remove the Parrot from the treated area until it dries completely.

  • Asked by Jessica from Rockford Illinois
    02/17/2015
    Q
Can you use Demon WP in the house on the walls I have seen a few roaches?
Freaking out and I can't handle bugs so I want to go threw the hole house and spray every room is this stuff safe to use like this
    A
Demon WP can be used inside as directed on the product label.  Insecticides alone will not eliminate an infestation though.  You will need to use it in conjunction with a high quality roach bait gel and an insect growth regulator as roaches like to hide and may not readily come into contact with treated surfaces. You can find both DemonWP, a roach bait gel and an IGR sold together in our Roach Control Kits. The roach bait gel should be placed directly into cracks and crevices around counters, sinks, drawers and cabinets. This will make the gel available to the roaches and inaccessible to your pets and children. The Gentrol Point Source do not actually contain any insecticides, just an insect juvenile growth hormone mimic. These discs can also be placed out of reach of children and animals and are readily used in sensitive locations such as hospitals and day cares everyday. Severe infestations may take several months to eliminate no matter what products you use. Sanitation will be a key factor in eliminating the roaches. Please take a few minutes to read the hints and tips in our German Cockroach article  to learn more about eliminating this pest.
