    Q
Can D-force HPX be used to kill clothes moths adults as well as larvae?
    A

D Force HPX could kill adult moths if they were to land on a treated surface long enough to receive a lethal dose.  It is more for cracks and crevices where the larvae are though and would be easier for them to contact while crawling in these areas.  Adults are best treated using traps.  Please refer to our guide on "How to Get Rid of Clothes Moths" for complete treatment advice.

    Q
How do I get rid of cave crickets?
I've applied Niban around my basement apartment twice this summer. While it works great at first, the cave crickets always seem to come back. It's a huge problem and I can't figure out how to get rid of them for good. I find them in every single room of my apartment. Glue traps are not enough. Please help!
    A
Getting rid of crickets that have already found harborage indoors can be tough. We recommend that you spray a good residual product such as D-force HPX aerosol around your baseboards, window frames, door frames, places where cables pipes and wires may enter into the structure and other places where crickets may enter or harbor within the structure. Since you live in a state that heavily restricts most insecticides, you are very limited on what you can purchase to use outdoors for barrier control. Niban does do a good job, but it must be re-applied after heavy rainfall to remain effective.

    Q
What is a good product similar to D-Force HPX for total spider elimination?
I have used D-Force HPX to kill spiders on contact and in our cars (around tire wells, in the trunks and around the doors). I have a serious brown widow problem that is getting worse each week. They are outside our house and inside our 1200 square foot shop. I have used D-Force HPX with great success when I hit the spider directly. Is there a product that works this good, but that will cover the entire shop and isn't so expensive for such a large area. How can I kill them without spraying them direcly? I have noticed that if the spiders do not crawl across any chemicals they will not die. I have used spray foggers to no avail and just sprayed inside and outside the house and shop with Cyonara too. Any suggestions?
    A
Demon WP is a great choice for spider control. Demon WP is a wettable powder that is diluted in water, and then sprayed around door frames, window frames, in areas where utilities (cables, pipes, wires) enter into a structure, around the bottom of the foundation and other area where insects are known to harbor. Demon WP will also eliminate the other insects in the area which in turn will help discourage other spiders from moving in since they will not have a food source to rely on.  Demon WP can leave a white powdery residue on dark surfaces. If the powdery residue is a concern you can choose a micro-encapsulated product such as Onslaught.

    Q
How do I get rid of female moths (not pantry)? I've been using X-Lure traps for the males
and they have trapped hundreds, but they just keep coming. Think I need to trap the females as well.
    A
There are not pheromone traps for the females.  However, you should continue to use the traps because if they are doing a great job of catching the males, there will be no more males to mate with the females and the population will dwindle.  You can use aerosol insecticides to help kill all of the moths, including the females, like our most popular product, D-Force HPX.  Apply along baseboards, shelving, cracks and crevices, etc.  Also, the moths came from a source and hopefully you have found the source and discarded it.  If you have not, then this is the issue and you should find and discard the contaminated product as soon as possible.

    Q
Does D-Force Aerosol help with pantry moths?
    A

D-Force Aerosol does a great job helping to get rid of pantry moths. D-Force Aerosol contains the active ingredient Deltamethrin and offers both knockdown and residual control of pantry pests and a wide variety of other crawling and flying pests for up to 8 weeks. We would recommend using our Pantry Pest Kit. This complete Pantry Pest Kit includes six Pro-Pest Pheronet traps for catching pantry moths and beetles, plus a 14 oz. can of D-Force Residual Aerosol with a crevice tool (straw) for spraying in cracks and crevices around shelves and walls to kill pantry pest larvae in harborage areas.

    Q
Which product is better for roaches D-Force or Cy Kick Aerosol?
    A

Both products are labeled for roaches and will leave a residual after application. The D-Force HPX will last approximately eight weeks. Cy-Kick Aerosol will leave a residual of about 30 days. We would not recommend this being the only product you are using when you are doing a roach treatment. Please be sure to take a look at our Roach Guide for tips on how to treat and prevent roaches in the future.

    Q
    Furniture Beetles in Kitchen Pantry
We found some furniture beetles inside an opened bag of old cat food. They were boring through the pellets. I looked thoroughly for other damage and found approx 30 beetle holes in the drywall ceiling of the pantry. No other damage anywhere in the house. What product(s) or suggestions would you recommend?
    A
We would recommend using D-Force HPX in the pantry.  You should apply the product in all cracks and crevices around baseboards and on on the edges of shelves in the pantry.  Then, you should treat inside the holes in the drywall that the beetles bored.  Also, you should obviously discard of any food that was contaminated from the beetles.

    Q
What product will kill carpet beetles but will be safe around animals?
    A
The majority of the products on our website are safe for use around animals when they are used as directed on the product label. D Force HPX will work very well to eliminate the beetles that actually crawl over treated areas. When dealing with carpet beetles, it is very important to find and remove the source of the beetles to get rid of them for good. To learn more about carpet beetle elimination please take a few minutes to read our article: Carpet Beetle Pest Control.

    Q
To protect against Waterbug appearance in the summer, can D-Force HPX be sprayed outside around the home?
If not, what is recommended, and all products need to be safe for cats.
    A
D-Force HPX is a great product for waterbug control. It comes ready-to-use, no mixing required. D-Force HPX is safe for use around cats, but the cats need to be out of the area when the application is made and they can return as soon as the application is dry

Is D-force better than Cy-kick for cigarette beetles and pantry moths? Which one has longer residual and less
Is D-force better than Cy-kick for cigarette beetles and pantry moths? Which one has longer residual and less odor?
    A
We would recommend using D-Force because it is labeled specifically for the cigarette beetles and panty moths. The residual is up to 8 weeks, and the it kills on contact. Use indoors as a spot or crack and crevice treatment, or outdoors for perimeter pests, as a spot treatment, or for surface applications for flying or crawling pests. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    Q
What is the best aerosol treatment for clover mites, both indoor and outdoor?
We have a large number of clover mites. Have treated outside with Bifen IT as well as an exterminator. Nothing seems to be working other than baby powder in windows. Still not 100% effective control though.
    A
There are some great professional strength aerosols that are labeled for clover mites including D-Force HPX. It can be applied once every 8 weeks. We do recommend Bifen IT for outside application once every 4 weeks. We do not recommend applying baby powder for treatment. Please let us know if you need anything else.

    Q
Can I use DForce with Nyguard plus?
Have seen a moth and couple carpet beetles and was wondering if I can spray this and Nyguard Plus. If so, in what order should I do it? Thanks in advance!!
    A

You should not spray both D-Force and NyGuard Plus to the same area for the same treatment. Nyguard Plus is an insecticide and an Insect Growth Regulator (IGR) in one product. D-Force is another insecticide, but it does not include the IGR. Multiple residual insecticides should not be applied on the same surface during the same treatment. You will need to wait until the residual breaks down to apply the other product.

Please take a moment to look over our Carpet Beetle Control Guide for helpful tips and information on eradicating this pest. Do you know what type of moths you are targeting? Please feel free to contact us with any other questions or concerns.

    Q
Will D-Force Insecticide 100% kill a deer tick that is hiding in my car???
    A

D-Force Insecticide is labeled for use to control ticks and other listed insects in vehicles. You would apply as a spot or crack and crevice treatment only in areas such as door jams, under rugs, and under seats. This would kill ticks that you spray directly or which contact enough residual insecticide after you have sprayed. We recommend that you first clean out the car and vacuum it well before spraying.

We apologize but we cannot offer a guarantee on the products as we cannot guarantee that they will be used as directed. We do try to provide as much information as possible on what to expect and how to to use as well as what to do non chemically.  We do know they work and you can read previous customer reviews right on the product pages.

    Q
Will D-Force Insecticide work on bagworms?
    A

D-Force Insecticide does not list bagworms on the label as controlled but if they are sprayed directly it could kill them before they form the bag.  Talstar P is the #1 recommended product for bagworm control.  You will need to use 1 oz. of Talstar per gallon of water.  Applications should start in April and continue monthly through June before they have formed the bag. Be sure foliage is sprayed thoroughly to the point of runoff to achieve adequate coverage.  Talstar can be applied with a hose end sprayer, but it is best to use a hand pump sprayer if possible to ensure the most even coverage.

    Q
Should I wash D-force out of my cabinets before putting dishes back in?
My kitchen has been sprayed 3 times. It was last sprayed a week ago. Is it okay to wash out my drawers before putting things back in or should I put them in on top of the spray residue?
    A

You can wash the D-Force off the cabinets, but you will lose the effectiveness.  Keep in mind that it should only be applied once every 8 weeks for control of listed pests.

After applying Force insecticides in my room, how many hours can I wait before returning to the room?

When applying D-Force Insecticide as directed on the label, as long as you keep pets/children out of the area while you treat and until the product has had time to completely dry or settle there is a reduced risk for children and pets typically after an hour
