Dylox 420 SL Insecticide provides fast acting grub control. Dylox 420 SL Insecticide treats surface feeding insects on lawns, landscape and recreational turf, such as golf courses. After irrigation or rainfall, grub control is established in as little as 24 hours and penetrates thatch up to ½ inch thick. Dylox 420 SL Insecticide works by both contact and ingestion. This kills insects on landscape flowers, trees and shrubs instantly within contact. This also works on lawns and turf against damage from predators such as birds, raccoons and skunks. Dylox 420 SL Insecticide is known to be the best product available for third instar grubs because it works later in the season and provides a longer effective application window than other competitors.

Dylox 402 SL for white grubs
By Brent on 05/14/2014
We tried GrubEx, Diazinon, and most other big box store products over the past 5 years or so with no noticeable impact on our lawn's grub infestation. This product killed the grubs overnight, after watering in. Birds no longer dig out grubs to eat, they just feed on surface insects now. Our lawn is coming back nicely. I applied this in May when the grubs were quite large and the product worked perfectly. I used the label suggested rate of 6.9oz/1000sqft.

Looking for a product that will eliminate billbugs and grubs fairly quick. I have tried a number of things with very little to no success over the course of 16 years. I tried Bifen and it helped somewhat, but not the desired results. Will Dylox 420 work with billbug's? I noticed that will work with grubs. I'm just tired of trying with really no results. If there are a couple of products that you recommend, for the two listed pests please let me know. Just wanting the results I have been chasing for 16 years now. Thanks for your help.
Dylox 420 SL Insecticide would only help you with the grub issue and if they are actively feeding, it is not labeled for bill bugs. The best time of treatment for billbugs is the same as the grubs, before they hatch so usually in the spring time is best. We would recommend Merit Insecticide Granules for an early treatment and you can contact your local cooperative extension office if you're not sure when billbugs or grubs hatch in your region. When adult billbugs are first seen, Talstar P (Bifenthrin) or Tempo SC Ultra (Beta-Cyfluthrin) can help. We recommend to look over our billbug treatment guide for further information.
