EcoVia EC is a liquid botanical oil insecticide, and is lableled for fleas and would work very well if you are looking for a more natural alternative to other insecticide ingredients. It also can be mixed with any IGR that we carry as well.
You should treat with EcoVia EC when you are not expecting any rainfall for at least 24 hrs following the application. It will offer a four week outdoor residual.
EcoVia EC is not labeled to be used on anything edible. Organocide by Organic Labratories is ORMI certified and could be used. It is a 3-in-1 Garden Spray, it works as a Fungicide, Insecticide, and Miticide but it will only kill the insects that are sprayed directly with it.
Another product that is natural and will leave more of a residual is Fertilome Triple Action Plus II with 70% Neem Oil.
Triple Action is not listed as organic but is all natural and is a very popular product for edibles.
EcoVia EC would be safe only in cracks and crevices down low in the rooms with the tanks. You should cover the tanks to ensure no contact just to be safe. While EcoVia EC is safe around bodies of water outside, we do not know if it can injure indoor habitats. We would recommend reaching out directly to Rockwall Labs to confirm instructions. They can be reached at 816-283-3167
Unfortunately, insects like fungus gnats breed in wet areas since they feed on the micro-organisms found in that wet soil. Unless the environmental conditions are altered, you cannot expect to eliminate these insects. You can use a natural insecticide such as EcoVia EC which does not have restrictions on use around aquatic areas. This product will have residual when kept dry. We would also recommend using personal insect repellents and perhaps ThermaCELL lanterns as well.
The Eco Via EC manufacturer does not make any claims to kill bed bug eggs or kill adult bed bugs on contact. Instead, you should rely on Eco Via EC to kill active bed bugs within several hours of contact. We highly recommend you follow our Bed Bug Guide to learn how to implement a successful bed bug control program.
EcoVia EC can be slightly repellent for a few days after application but is not a true repellent. It is designed more to provide a residual to kill insects that contact the treated surfaces.
EcoVia EC states on the product label: * This product is not recommended as sole protection against termites and is not approved as a pre-construction treatment for subterranean termites. It is really only for spot treating active termites. Termidor SC would be the best product for trenching as prevention.
