    Q
Can EcoVia EC be applied with a Ryobi Fogger?
Can this product be used in a Ryobi Fogger?
    A

EcoVia EC can be use on a sprayer, backpack sprayer or mist blower, power sprayer, mechanical aerosol misting/fogging equipment, (ULV or thermal), automated spray systems or other conventional application equipment. We do not carry Ryobi equipment but most of the Ryobi machines state in the manual that they do not allow for use of professional grade products which is what we mainly carry, including the EcoVia EC. You would need to contact the Ryobi manufacturer for the best advice. The only option we have that might be an option is the Mosquito Beater.  Which is a consumer grade product.

    Q
    OK for Vinyl Siding?
Is this product okay to use on vinyl siding? Some wording on the product label causes me concern about using it on vinyl siding.
    A
It would not be recommended to spray EcoVia EC on vinyl siding because it is platic which is a sensitive surface that may be stained by oil based products. If overspray lands on any sensitive surfaces (particularly plastics), simply rinse with water and wipe off with a clean cloth.

EcoVia EC is comparable to Essentria IC Pro in that they are both all natural. While their ingredients are slightly different the biggest difference is that they are made by two different manufacturers. The IC Pro is also not labeled for as many pests as the EcoVia EC.

    Q
Does EcoVia EC need mixed with anything to be used in a residential thermal fogger?
    A

EcoVia EC can be applied undiluted or diluted with a light mineral oil or another suitable non-phytotoxic diluent per the product label. Per the instructions on the label, use up to 0.25-1.5 fl oz of product per 1000 sq ft of ground surface area, or up to 10-60 fl oz per acre. Use higher rates for heavy vegetation and/or when target insect populations are high. For best results, apply when insects are most active and when conditions are conducive to keeping the fog close to the ground.

EcoVia EC does not have restrictions for use around animals or aquatic life as long as the product is applied according to the label instructions. Q
Can I apply the highest rate which is 6 oz of EcoVia EC to 25 gallons of water ?
On the label for lawn spray It reads that I can use 1 to 6 oz per gallon or 1 to 6 oz in sufficient water to cover 1000 square ft. Does that mean that I can use as much water as I need to cover 1000 square ft. areas. For example if it takes me 25 gallons of water to cover 1000 sq. Ft. area I can apply the highest rate which is 6 oz?
    A

EcoVia EC is a great choice if you are seeking a natural concentrate to mix with water and apply to outdoor areas. You may mix up to 6oz of EcoVia EC per gallon of water depending upon application site and insect.

    Q
Do I have to dilute theEcoVia EC with oil if sprayed with the ULV fogger like Vectorfog C100?
I am planning to spray EcoVia EC with a ULV fogger like Vectorfog C100 to sray tall trees and bushes. But the instruction of the EcoVia EC says "For ULV (cold fog) and thermal fog applications, apply undiluted or dilute with light mineral oil or another suitable non-phytotoxic diluent". C100 has a 1-gallon tank and a flow rate of 8-16 GPH, which means it can finish a tank in less than 7.5 min. I just cannot image how much EcoVia EC I would need to treat the area if undiluted or how much oil to spread on trees if diluted. Can we just use water? What is the different between the application with water and oil diluent? Thank you for your help.
    A

In a cold/ULV Fogger, you can dilute concentrates like EcoVia EC with either water or with oil. Typically you would dilute with water whenever possible outdoors to reduce the risk of phytotoxicity on the plants you are treating. Per the product label, use up to 0.25-1.5 fl oz of product per 1000 sq ft of ground surface area, or up to 10-60 fl oz per acre. It sounds like you will likely need to dilute the product to apply at this rate if your fogger is applying product that quickly.

    Q
Does EcoVia EC have a growth inhibitor regulator? If not, what can I add on for treating springtails?
    A

EcoVia EC  is labeled for treating springtails, and does not contain an Insect Growth Regulator.  IGR's are not necessary when treating for springtails.  Springtails indicate that there is a moisture issue because they breed in walls or under slabs where a moisture issue may exist.  Typically, pesticides alone will not take care of a springtail problem.  It is required to fix whatever moisture issue is causing the problem.  You should read our How To Get Rid of Springtails article for further information.
