    Q
How do you measure lbs when applying granules like Essentria G to be specific? Measuring cups don't come in pound.
How do you determine lbs in a measuring cup. Looked at the label and sds and couldn't find the answer. Also, does the product have to be watered after application? Another question that was not on the label or sds. Thank you
    A

Essentria G Granules has to be measured using a scale. You can use a conversion chart from lb to cups but we cannot guarantee that the measurement will be accurate to match that correct application base rate of 2 to 5 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. Most insecticide granules need to be watered in to be activated.

    Q
Does Essentria G Granules kill Japanese Lantern Bugs? Is this pet safe?
    A

Essentria G Granules are not labeled for Japanese Lantern Bugs aka Spotted Lantern Flies. There are very few products on the market labeled to control this invasive pest.

For ornamentals, trees, and shrubs, we recommend using Safari 20SG Systemic Insecticide with Dinotefuran as a once a year systemic treatment while also using the Talstar P as a foliar application. Depending on the severity of the infestation you may need both, specially since systemics take time to work.

For Ornamentals and Lawns, Talstar P can be used as a foliar spray applciation at the rate of 0.25 fl oz to 0.5 fl oz per 1000 sq ft (10-20 fl oz per acre) to lawns.

View the Safari 20SG Supplemental Label for Spotted Lantern Fly for more information.

    Q
Does Essentria G Granules also treat for Sod Webworms and Cutworms?
    A

Essentria G Granules is not specifically labeled for sod webworms or cutworms. We do offer other products including Bifen XTS. The rate for Bifen XTS for webworms is not set per gallon but by area.  You will use 0.07-0.15 fl oz per 1000 square feet. This generally mixes in 1-2 gallons of water. This can be done every 21 days as needed.  To ensure that the best control of Armyworms, Cutworms, and Sod Webworms is achieved, postpone watering or mowing for 24 hours following application

    Q
Is there any concern with Essentria G and poultry, since they tend to eat all specks on the ground.
    A
As long as you follow the application instructions on the Essentria G Granules product label this product will not harm the poultry. The poultry should be out of the area while you are doing the application and they can return to the area after you have watered in the granules and the surface has dried (usually about 2 hours).
