Essentria G Granules has to be measured using a scale. You can use a conversion chart from lb to cups but we cannot guarantee that the measurement will be accurate to match that correct application base rate of 2 to 5 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft. Most insecticide granules need to be watered in to be activated.
You want to be sure the children are not in the area when Essentria G Granules is applied, but they are safe to re-enter the area once the product has completely dried. Keep in mind that earwigs are going to be plentiful in very moist, rich soil, so you want to look at ways to improve drainage and reduce the moisture collection in areas where you are finding a lot of this insect.
Essentria G Granules is not specifically labeled for sod webworms or cutworms. We do offer other products including Bifen XTS. The rate for Bifen XTS for webworms is not set per gallon but by area. You will use 0.07-0.15 fl oz per 1000 square feet. This generally mixes in 1-2 gallons of water. This can be done every 21 days as needed. To ensure that the best control of Armyworms, Cutworms, and Sod Webworms is achieved, postpone watering or mowing for 24 hours following application

The Essentria G Granules Spreader setting for the Scotts Handy Green is no listed on the label. We recommend to place approx. 3-4 pounds into your spreader. Map out 1000sq feet. Set your spreader on the second to lowest setting. Complete the 1000 sq feet. If you have product left over, up the setting. If not, then you want to lower the setting.
