No, the EZ Klean Rodent Bait Station is not designed to trap the rat. It is only used to protect poison bait from non-target animals, humans and the elements. If you are interested in a covered rat trap, you could use the Protecta Sidekick Rat Bait Station with a T-Rex Rat Trap inserted inside. If you go to the Protecta Sidekick Rat Bait Station page you can see a picture of the snap trap in the station.

Will the EZ Klean Rodent Bait Station warp in the sun?
The back of my house gets full sun all day, and I'm concerned that the plastic will not hold up.

EZ Klean Rodent Bait Stations (when purchased individually or by the case) does not come with bait. We do have the Rodent Baiting Kit that contains 6 stations, a snap trap and a 4lb pail of Gladiator All Weather Bait.

Do I have to worry about bait killing my squirrels when using the EZ Klean Rodent Bait Station?

When using the EZ Klean Rodent Bait Station, squirrels do have access to the baits that will be located in there, however, most rodent baits are not labeled for squirrels.

I ordered the EZ Klean Rodent Bait Station and would like to attach it to standard 2"x8"x16" patio blocks. Is there a youtube or some tutorial? Don't they crack?

Please call us at 866-581-7378 with any questions or further instructions. We also offer the RBS1 EZ Secured Rodent Bait Station which already has a block attached and uses the same key as the EZ Klean.

I'm concerned about baiting using the EZ Klean Rodent Stations. Can the mice still get inside and die after eating the bait?
After setting them up my concern is that when the mice eat the bait they will get into the motorhome and die leaving a terrible odor and unsanitary conditions?

Mice could potentially still enter the structure and die there after consuming bait from the EZ Klean Rodent Bait Station if potential entry points are not identified and properly sealed. Exclusion is your number one defense against rodents, so you will want to check and replace any seals and weather stripping around doors and windows, and check any areas where pipes or wires enter the motorhome. As long as it's sealed up well the likelihood that the mice will try to get inside goes down significantly. You also can use a bait like Fastrac in the stations, as this bait provides the quickest kill, which will further reduce the chances of the mice being alive long enough to find their way inside. The main method of control other than exclusion would be to place snap traps all around the motorhome, on tires, and other areas the mice would use to try to gain access inside.

With the EZ Klean Rodent Bait Station, normally 1-2 lbs would be enough to hold the bait station down.

EZ Klean Rodent Bait Station will hold the Weatherblox XT. The Weatherblox are square-shaped blocks that are 1.5 in x 1.5 in x 0.5 in thick, so you can stack them on the vertical rods or on the horizontal rods inside the EZ Klean stations.

The EZ Klean key twists to the right once you drop it in the holes near the front of the stations. There is an arrow on the lid above the holes that indicate which way to twist. The lid does not pop open when you twist the key. You twist the key to the right all of the way, and while the key is in this positions all of the way twisted, you pull up on the key to lift the lid out of its locked position.

Many people do choose to purchase concrete pavers or patio blocks separately and attach them to the stations in order to better secure them in place. We do not carry this type of product, but they can be found at most home improvement or hardware stores, and then attached to the stations using a "liquid nails" type of product.

The purpose of the EZ Klean Rodent Bait Station is to guide rodents to the bait area of the station, providing a protected place for them to feed. Once a rodent has taken a lethal dose of bait, it will die within the next few days. We do not recommend baiting for rodents inside the home, since they could crawl into a tight space to die, and the resulting smell of decomposing carcass is quite unpleasant. However, if you are baiting outdoors as recommended, the rodent will likely go back to it's burrow to die. How can I open the EZ Klean Rodent Bait Station if I've lost my key?

Tamper Resistant Bait Stations such as the EZ Klean Rodent Bait Station are not able to be opened without a bait station key. Any attempt to open the station by prying or forcing open can result in damage the bait station. We do offer additional keys for purchase here.

Yes, the EZ Klean Rodent Bait Stations have punch-out holes that can be used to add stakes. Staking the stations is not required, although it can help to keep them in place if there are large or aggressive animals around such as large dogs or raccoons.

If the climate is very hot, then it is best to use vertical rod placements to reduce risk of block baits melting in extreme heat. If the climate is wet and you are concerned about water getting into the stations, then it is best to use horizontal rods since they keep the bait up off the bottom of the station, protecting it more from spoiling due to water.

The EZ Klean Key has changed from a metal key to an easier to use plastic key. Either key should work to unlock both sides of the station.

No, the EZ Klean Rodent Bait Station is not designed to hold the T-Rex Rat Trap. Catchmaster Easy Set 621p Rat Snap Traps can be used with the EZ Klean. If you are interested in the T-Rex Rat Trap and want it in a covered trap, the Protecta Sidekick Rat Bait Station is made it hold it.
