    How to use Farnam Just One Bite II Bars around and in the car that is parked outside?
    Rats or mice ate the wiring in my car that is parked outside. Its happened twice now. Someone suggested Farnam. Do you know how to use it? Please advise.

    Farnam Just One Bite II Bars is only labeled to for use in and around agricultural buildings, so we cannot advise on using in or around a car.  It is important that the property is addressed as a whole in order to reduce the number of rodents. Tamper resistant rodent bait stations loaded with bait such as Fastrac Blox will help reduce the level of rodents on the property to a more manageable level. These products can be purchased together in our Protecta Sidekick Kit. To protect individual vehicles you may want to consider using rat snap traps or mice snap traps (depending on which you have) beneath the vehicle and resting on the vehicle tires overnight.

    Is "Just One Bite" rat bait safe to burn as disposal?
    Have old, used bars. Can I burn them in the trash?

    It would not be recommended to burn the Just One Bite bars as a disposal method.  The product label states:  Dispose of wastes resulting from the use of this product in trash or at an approved waste disposal facility.

    Which bait stations work best for applying Farnam Just One Bite II Bars?
    I see that these break into 2 oz bars which are larger than the bloxs from other companies. Which bait stations will work for these larger size bars?

    We would recommend using the Farnam Just One Bite II Bars in our Protecta Rat Bait Stations. This will work for the size of the bait as well as offering a trap large enough to fit rats and mice.

    I have a possum problem 15 to 20 will one bite kill them

    Can the smell of the Farnam Just One Bite II Bars affect humans and dogs?
    Put it out tonight to kill house mice and my eyes began to hurt. My throat is irritated and breathing is difficult. I also have a stomach ache. Coincidence? Or effect from product.

    Farnam Just One Bite II Bars do not emit any odors or fumes that would be harmful to people or dogs. Ingesting the bait would be harmful to you and your pets. You should always wear gloves when handling baits and avoid contact with eyes and your mouth while wearing them, and you should contact your doctor for any health concerns. Though this product is not labeled to be used at all inside homes as it is an agricultural product placed in and around agricultural buildings.

    Farnam Just One Bite II Bars are not labeled for moles and will not be effective on them.  As an alternative try using Talprid Mole Bait.

    Can this product kill a groundhog?

    Farnam Just One Bite II Bars is not labeled for groundhogs so we cannot recommend it for them.  That being said, if they were to be attracted to it and ate enough of it, they could be killed.

    Would the Just One Bite ll pellet packs work on pack rats?
    What is the best way to place the pellets?

    Farnam Just One Bite II Bars could potentially kill pack rats (woodrats) if they ingested it, although this bait is only labeled to eradicate Norway rats, roof rats, house mice and warfarin resistant Norway rats. A great bait for woodrats is Contrac Bulk Pellets.  Per the label, apply 3 to 16 ounces of bait at intervals of 15 to 30 feet per placement. Maintain an uninterrupted supply of fresh bait for at least 10 days or until signs of rat activity cease. Be sure to follow the label directions for safe and effective use.

    Can Farnam Just One Bite II Bars be used in a house crawl space and in a garage?

    The Farnam Just One Bite II Bars are for use in and around agricultural buildings only. This product is not for use in homes or other human residences. Using tamper resistant bait stations with a rodenticide block is an effective treatment for rodent control, we have our Rodent Kits available that come with 6 statiosn and a 4lb pail of Fastrac. Bait Stations should be placed outside the exterior periemeter of the home as we do not recommend baiting for rodents indoors. Visit our How to Get Rid of Rodents Guide for more information.

    Unused Farnam Just One Bite II Bars can be stored in any sealed container or ziplock bag until needed again. They have a shelflife of 2-3 years after the manufactured date.

    Risk to chickens
    I have mice in/under my chicken house. Can I use One Bite safely with the chickens nearby? As you know.. chickens are ravenous foragers and will readily eat a dead mouse. I don't want to poison my chickens OR worry about contamination of their eggs. Thks, Joe

    Generally, the risk of secondary poisoning to animals with Farnam Just One Bite II Bars is very minimal since a rodent only consumes a very small amount of bait at a time and passes it very quickly, only keeping a small amount in their system until they succumb to the effects of the bait.  However, in this case we suggest you contact the manufacturer directly for clarification and product support by either calling (800) 234-2269 or by visiting their website's contact page here.
