Helps prevent herbicide burn in grasses
By Charles on 08/30/2016
On rec of a greenskeeper, added this to a mix of herbicides while spraying in Bermuda when temperatures are well over 90F. Herbicides like MSMA or 2-4D will burn the grass and occasionally kill normal bermuda in this heat, but when adding this to the mix, grass tends to be much less affected.

I have a 5000 yard.I have the Ortho dial n spray hose end sprayer that I can fill up to 32oz. How much ferti lome do I mix and use? Also, do I mix water with the ferti lime? or do I just let the water run thru to the hose end sprayer?
Ferti-Lome Chelated Liquid Iron and Other Micro Nutrients states to use 16 oz per Hose-End Sprayer per 500 sq. ft. Refer to the dial settings on the Ortho Dial n Spray Hose End Sprayer and manual for setting the proper settings for your application.
The water should be running while the product is being distributed.
Ferti-Lome Chelated Liquid Iron and Other Micro Nutrients is "light green" in color according to the product SDS. We would recommend avoiding direct spray or overspray onto porous surfaces such as rock or concrete. These ares should be washed immediately if there is visible residue.

When treating your lawn with Ferti-Lome Chelated Liquid Iron and Other Micro Nutrients you will apply 1 pint (16 oz) per 500 sq. ft. Any convenient method of application may be used. Be sure to apply the product in a sufficient volume of water to thoroughly wet the foliage and runoff in the root zone. Using a hose end sprayer such as the Chapine Wet/Dry Hose End Sprayer is a convenient method to treat lawns.
