Fertilome Systemic Drench
By Leslie on 06/23/2011
This is the best product available!! I have tried most of the others and the only thing that worked was this because it is absorbed into the root system. No messy sprays, only once a year application and my crepe myrtles look AMAZING. No more aphids, mildew or yellow dying leaves. Thank you! I will definitely buy a case next year and EVERY year after!!

Worked great!
By Jco on 10/17/2011
I had arborvitae and Norway spruces dying from spider mites. I originally paid a nursery $165 to have them sprayed. They perked up but after a few months I noticed the needles graying and browning again. A friend told me about this and I now wish I had discovered this product first. I put some around my neighbor's white pine that had browning needles and a month later, this perked up remarkably. I am now using it on all my evergreens.

This Product Works!
By Melvin on 06/28/2014
I ordered two cases of this product in the gallon size for use in controlling the emerald ash borer and applied it in late Winter/early Spring. Currently, the affected trees are showing healthy new growth and the adults were driven from the trees and expiring all round the property as the product traveled up the trees. The directions for use are spot on, though I modified the application a bit by using a gallon more water to insure that the product penetrated the soil quickly since the ground was still quite cold and Spring rains still lay ahead. This strategy was rewarded. If you need an excellent product for the EMB, this is one and I found it is also the most economical. In today's business climate, I can only hope that the manufacturer maintains the quality of their product. They have a winner!

Green trees!
By Diane on 04/19/2011
We have used this product for 3 yrs now and have found that the very destructive Japanese Beetles are less likely to eat the leaves of the trees treated with this product in early spring. We have a number of flowering trees and willow varieties that were ravaged one year so we asked our garden center if there was a way to keep the beetles off the trees. This product was recommended. It works to our satisfaction. As our trees get bigger, it takes a little more product to do the job, but it was well worth the result. Green trees! With no leaf damage!

control of tree borer's
By Jim on 04/05/2017
I run a tree service and have been using Fertilome Tree & Shrub Systemic for about 4 yrs for customers and haven't lost a tree yet. About 3 yrs ago I used it on a Lrg Pecan tree that was infested with borers and other insects as a last ditch effort to save the tree. Three months later it got new growth leaves and now is in good health (advised the owners not to use the nuts that year).

Solution to scale on japanese blueberry trees
By Sean on 11/07/2012
Scale had just about taken over my japanese blueberry trees and I was spraying them with neem oil and other insectcides with not much luck; within 3 days of using fertilome insect drench everything changed and I believe my trees are going to make it. I plan to use this product in the future every spring and fall to make sure the scale doesn't endanger my trees again

Price conscious
By Bob on 04/24/2014
It's much less expensive than the Bayer product. I treat over 30 trees on my property each year. Last year was the first I used this instead of bayer. I did lose a white pine over this past winter, so I'll be keeping an eye on how it works this year. Other than the pine my ash, beech, birch, walnut, apple, cherry and maple all did fine

System Instect Drench--Great price/quick delivery
By Paul on 05/05/2012
I've been using the Fertilome Tree and Shrub Systemic Insect Drench for leaf tip moths for several years. It works great on my 25 ponderosa pines. I ordered a case of this which arrived quickly (not sure exactly, but in about 1 week). Previously I purchased this product locally...I saved over $7 per bottle thru this site. Another benefit to this product is...no spraying which has the downside of killing both beneficial insects and you as it's breathed in! Just pour the product mixed with water around the base of the tree. Recommended!

fertilome tree and shrub insect drench-one gallon
By Fred on 05/14/2012
The product was easy to open and reseal, and the price was one half the price of similar product in the stores! It's easy to do yourself and You can save a lot of money compared to hiring it done! Just be careful not to get the chemical on your person and apply when there is no rain forcast for 3 or 4 days! I have been protecting my ash trees for 3 years with this chemical to save them from the emerald ash tree borer bugs!

By Houston on 04/15/2014
Have been using this or another name of same product for years now. We treat about 70 trees now and ever since we started our trees have been beautiful and healthy. NO BUGS! The thing I have noticed most is the gain in the girth of our trees. Great Stuff!

By Golly - I think it's working
By Mike on 06/16/2019
Last year a black fungus covered a crepe myrtle after a yucky, sticky goo dripped from it onto my sidewalk. I forget what it was, but I googled it at the time and there was a fungus involved. This year a white scale began to develop on the leaves so I bought this Ferti-lome product and applied it once. Now, a month later, all the leaves are healthy and happy looking. Cool!

Success For All Seasons
By Mstenhaug on 10/10/2012
We have used this product for several years on evergreens that have usually been plagued by insects and have shown signs of impending death. Once we started using it, the trees have not had issues with insect bombardment and have grown successfully each year. In the past, we have purchased this in smaller batches, but the cost and quantity made this an unbeatable deal since we have 5 trees to treat, of varying sizes.

eliminate wooly adelgid for Canadian Hemlock
By Paul on 06/22/2018
I have used Imidacloprid root drench to treat my Canadian Hemlocks for Wooly Adelgids for many years. Look at the underside of apparently healthy tree limb tips. If you see a tiny white froth you have an early infestation. This is the time to treat. Untreated the tree will die in 3 to 7 years. If you have more than one third of the limbs with no more needles it may be too late. Give it a try anyway. Follow the instructions. It is easy. I started early. I had no die back, only the white froth. I have had no more white froth for over 15 years. I supplement 8 time a year total professional tree and shrub feeding and pest control with a once a year root drench by me. My trees are magnificent. The professionals use imidacloprid spray several times a year too, but they do not get to the tops of my beautiful trees. In coastal Massachusetts I apply the drench in the early Fall before the trees become dormant. I formerly paid over $75 per gallon for the original Branded product. I need 4 gallons. The original branded product still sells here for about that same price. DO MY OWN saved me money. They shipped fast, about 3 days. The packaging was sturdy. Nothing not to like.

Mail Order Fertilome Tree & Shrub Drench
By Ed on 06/27/2017
I have found this product to be very effective against Japanese Beatles. You must apply it in mid-May so it can be absorbed by the plant before the Beatles emerge from the ground in June. It does not work on the rose bush flowers but protects the rest of the plant. Great product and priced $15/gallon less than I have to pay at the local nursery. Also free shipping!

Fetilome tree drench
By J on 05/14/2014
It's almost impossible to rate this product because of the nature of it. You basically dump it on the ground around your tree to protect it form pests- in my case, ash trees and the emerald ash borer. The only way I'll know if this didn't work is if my ash trees start dying in a couple years. If they don't die, it worked and vice versa.

Saving my lovely crepe mytles!
By Erin on 05/23/2020
This is the second time I have ordered the Ferti-lome Insect Drench. My crepe myrtles were under attack from the bark scale disease. They were definitely saved, even though they were heavily diseased. I decided to use the drench again this year, as a precaution. BTW, I shopped around and this was the best price I found.

Wonderful Results
By Ben on 07/01/2022
I have been battling aphids on my crepe myrtles for years, with very poor results. I called and spoke to one of your representatives, who recommended the Ferti-lome systemic drench. I applied exactly per directions. Within 10 days the ground was covered with dead aphids, the honeydew had disappeared and the trees looked so much healthier, no more shinny sticky leaves. The drench worked extremely well and I could not be more pleased. An outstanding feature is that it is applied just once a year. I will definitely be a repeat customer for this fine product.

A Treesaver!
By Michael on 10/11/2019
Last year while away traveling, I lost 6 well established trees to some type of boring insect. I immediately ordered Ferti-Lome Insect drench and treated all my remaining trees and used again this year for the second annual treatment... all our remaining trees are now healthy and remaining strong.

So far so good
By Darlene on 04/17/2020
I have used this drench for the past two years to hopefully save my ash trees from the ash tree borer. The first year I had them injected but can't afford to continue that treatment. I used this size to treat three large trees. There are lots of infected trees around and many of them cut down. So far, mine show no sign of the little beast.....

seems to work
By Stanley on 04/11/2018
I first used this product in the summer of last year to control boring insects on my oak trees. It was late in the year, but I tried it anyway. It did seem to work for my problem. I was just able to apply the product for this year, due to heavy rain. Time will tell if it will actually work. I do believe it will.
