We would not reccomend using the FMC Pyrethrin Fogger in a chimney application. Unfortunately, we do not have a recommendation for that type of application. You would not want to put chemicals in a chimney that at some point you would be lighting a fire into. However, with that said possibly lighting a fire would get them out of the area.

Foggers such as the FMC Pyrethrin Fogger will only kill insects exposed to the product at the time that you use it. While the active ingredient would certainly kill flies and other insects that are contacted, you likely would not see a significant reduction in the flies. To combat overwintering pests such as cluster flies, you should look for ways to exclude these pests and treat with insecticides like those in our Overwintering Pest Kit in the late Summer and Fall to keep pests out. FMC Pyrethrin Fogger is not labeled to kill scabies. Using a fogger would not be an appropriate treatment for this pest. You should consult a medical professional for topical treatment. You can clean the environment by vacuuming and washing and drying clothing and linens. You could use a contact kill product such as Steri-Fab to treat furniture and flooring, although this is generally not necessary.
