    Q
Is product good to rid house flies?
    A
Yes, CB PCO Total Release Fogger is labeled for houseflies. Shake Well Before Use. Cover exposed foods, dishes and food handling equipment. Open cabinets and doors to area to be treated. Shut off fans and air conditioners. Put out all flames and pilot lights. Close doors and windows. Point valve opening away from face and eyes when releasing. DO NOT use more than one fogger per room. DO NOT use in small enclosed spaces such as closets, cabinets or under counters or tables. Do not use in a room 5 ft. x 5 ft. or smaller; instead, allow fog to enter from other rooms. Turn off ALL ignition sources such as pilot lights (shut off gas valves), other open flames or running electrical appliances that cycle off and on (i.e. refrigerators, thermostats, etc.). Call your gas utility or management company if you need assistance with your pilot lights. Use one 5 oz. unit for 5,000 cubic feet of unobstructed space. Do not remain in the area during treatment, and ventilate thoroughly before reentry.

    Q
    Attic usage in freezing weather?
Moving into a house at the beginning of this cold snap and bought 4 of these to set off in the attic (2 at a time), because of flies due to a gaping gable vent. Will these operate sufficiently in cold weather? We have snow flakes and brisk winds in Indiana for another couple weeks.
    A
With the CB PCO Total Release Foggers, they are used indoors so the temperature is not a factor. You do want to make sure you are only using 1 per room.

    Q
Will CB PCO Total Release Fogger with Pyrethrins kill mites in a home as well as fleas?
    A
CB PCO Total Release Fogger with Pyrethrins is NOT specifically labeled for mites but is labeled for fleas. It is important to be absolutely sure you are actually dealing with mites. Have the suspected mite identified by a reputable source, such as your local cooperative extension office or a reputable pest control operator. Treatments will vary for different pests. For treatment in the home, we recommend you frequently vacuum all carpet and upholstery and dispose of the bag or vacuum contents in a sealed bag outdoors. Spray Sterifab on couches, chairs and other upholstered furniture where you may spend time resting. Put all clothes through the dryer on high heat to help kill mites and their eggs. Most customers report that it can take several months to get rid of all of the mites. Finding and removing the source of the infestation is very important and is the key to getting rid of the mites for good.

    Q
    Clothes moth infestation
We have an ongoing clothes moth infestation in my building (4 apartments). Each year as the temps rise they keep coming back, by the hundreds. They mostly fly around in the hallway, where we think they have their nest behind the walls, or underneath the roof space. The landlord hires inefficient cheap workers who come out and spray in the hallway (on the floor) with absolutely no result. Would a fogger like the CB PCO be able to get to their nest - which had not been located - but we assume it to be somewhere behind the walls?
    A
The CB PCO Fogger with Pyrethrins would only kill what is out, exposed, and flying around at the time the fogger was activated. Unfortunately, the CB PCO Fogger wouldn't be able to kill anything that is back behind the wall or in inaccessible areas such as cracks or crevices. We would recommend you use the ProPest Pheronet Clothes Moth Traps. These traps will lure and kill webbing cloth moths, the most common type of clothes moth. This product is best used in conjunction with a crack and crevice aerosol to treat under and around baseboards and door frames in the infested area.  We recommend D-Force HPX Aerosol to treat these areas.

    Q
Is the powder left after fogging with CB PCO Fogger harmful to humans long after use?
    A
There is no powder left behind after using the CB PCO Fogger with Pyrethrins, it will dissipate in the air after use.  All pets and people must leave the home while the fogger is being used and they must remain out of the home for about 2 hours. The home should then be vented by opening the windows and doors for about 30 minutes. After this time period it will be safe for people and pets to return to the home.

    Q
How effective is CB PCO Fogger at killing a flea infestation?
How effective is CB PCO Fogger at killing a flea infestation?
    A

CB PCO Fogger will only kill those fleas that are exposed at the time you use the product. For fleas infestations we recommend: Foggers are not good for fleas at all.  We sell an indoor flea kit that is the best for fleas indoors.  You must use an IGR (insect growth regulator) for fleas which you cannot use in a fogger.  Our kit is the best option for indoors as it is the same professional products professional companies use.  The most important part of any flea treatment is vacuuming.  You should vacuum before treating and then again every couple days after your treatment.  You should also treat again in exactly 14 days.  There is enough product in our indoor flea kit to treat an average size house twice.  We also carry an outdoor/indoor flea kit that works great for the inside and outside of your home. This kit contains a liquid concentrate and an IGR (insect growth regulator). It is applied using a one gallon hand pump sprayer. When treating the outside, we recommend that you mow your lawn one to two days prior to the application.

    Q
How well do roach bombs work?
    A
Bug bombs such as the CB PCO Fogger, is highly effective at knocking down a large number of roaches at one time. However, bug bombs will only kill roaches that are out in the open and exsposed at the time the bomb is activated. Once the fog disipates, it will no longer be effective and will not continue killing roaches. We would recommend one of our roach control kits. Our kits contain a specialized mix of roach control products that are tailored to the specific needs of the situation, based on several factors such as the size of the infestation, the size of the room or rooms that are affected, and the type of roach that is causing the issue.

    Q
will CB PCO Fogger kill bird mites?
    A
It is important to be absolutely sure you are actually dealing with bird mites. Have the suspected bird mite identified by a reputable source, such as your local cooperative extension office or a reputable pest control operator. Treatments will vary for different pests. Treatment for say bedbugs is much different than the treatment for bird mites.  Removal of the infested nest or bird and a thorough cleanup is necessary. For treatment in the home, we recommend you frequently vacuum all carpet and upholstery and dispose of the bag or vacuum contents in a sealed bag outdoors. Spray Sterifab on couches, chairs and other upholstered furniture where you may spend time resting. Use MotherEarth Dust in all cracks and crevices around the perimeter of the room. Apply a thin coat of MotherEarth dust to rugs and carpets. Rake (not sweep) nap back and forth, causing dust to enter rug or carpet. Let product sit overnight. Repeat application as necessary and vacuum every 3 - 4 days for effective control. MotherEarth dust does not have a fast knockdown, it can take several days for insects to die after they contact the dust. Onslaught can be used for a faster knockdown. Thoroughly apply as a fine particle broadcast spray using a hand pump sprayer to infested rugs and carpets and other cracks and crevices around the perimeter of each room. Put all clothes through the dryer on high heat to help kill mites and their eggs.We have had many customers use the above recommendations with great success. Most customers report that it can take several months to get rid of all of the mites. Q
    Will this work for spiders?
I have a horrible spider problem in my basement which eventually leads upstairs. I want to rid them since I have very young children and not certain which spiders are poisonous and which aren't. As well as the fact that I DETEST spiders. If this isn't the right product, please advise me on what is. Thank you.
    A
CB PCO fogger is not specifically labeled to treat spiders. We would recommend our spider control kit that includes Demon WP that provides a strong residual kill, Webout which prevents webs and glueboards to catch them walking.

    Q
Is there a bug bomb for a black widow infestations?
    A
CB PCO Fogger with Pyrethrins will kill spiders, but only the spiders that are exposed at the time the fogger is released. We recommend using Cyper WP for spider control. Cypermethrin, the active ingredient in Cyper WP, is known to be one of the most effective active ingredients for spiders and other hard to kill insects. Spray directly into cracks and crevices, under appliances, around door frames and window frames and in places where utilities (cables, pipes, wires) enter into the structure. We have recently added a spider control kit to our website that includes Cyper WP, Webout and glue boards. Using Webout eliminator will help discourage spiders from forming webs on the surfaces that have been sprayed and the glue boards will help trap wandering spiders and help monitor problem areas.

    Q
I have a moth infestation that originated from bird seed that is no longer in the house.
I also have 4 cats, with no way to remove them completely from the house. I want to use a fogger in combination with traps. Would it be safe enough to put them in the basement and close the door?
    A
With pantry pests you need to keep in mind that just because part of the problem may have stemmed from the bird seed that you removed, doesn't mean that the larvae didn't crawl into other areas of the home in cracks and crevices near by. If you are continually seeing new moths then the infestation was not purely in the bird seed. You are going to want to clean out any cabinets and storage areas where they could be hiding or leaving behind larvae, and use a crack and crevice spray like Cy-kick with a birth control spray like Gentrol IGR to help control the population. If you are going to purchase traps, you will need to know exactly what species of moth you are dealing with so you get the correct traps. Most moth traps are designed for a specific sexual pheromone for that couple of species on the label, and the trap will normally only catch the male moths with the sex pheromone. By it catching and luring in the males, it helps break up the reproductive cycle even further. We do not recommend using the fogger whether you can remove your cats or not as this will only knock down any moths currently flying in the open and will do nothing for the larvae or any unexposed moths. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Have the suspected bird mite identified by a reputable source, such as your local cooperative extension office or a reputable pest control operator. Treatments will vary for different pests. Q
We have flies at our cabin in northern Wisconsin. Will CB PCO work on them? They keep appearing all winter.
I vacuum them up and the next morning there are dozens more. Are these cluster flies? What's the best prevention?
    A
It sounds like you may have cluster flies. The CB PCO Fogger will kill any flies that are exposed at the time the fogger is released but it will not control those flies that prefer to stay hidden inaccessible areas. Here is an article that will give you a little bit more information on cluster flies and cluster fly control methods: How to get rid of cluster flies

    Q
Will this CB PCO fogger be appropriate for a chigger infestation inside our house?
These bugs we were told by a bug expert are chiggers. It is mostly small, tiny bugs, some black, some red and are so tiny we can hardly see them. They are everywhere! On our beds, floors and on and in our clothes. We have our fleece slippers on floor and the bugs crawl on, in and around our slippers. And they bite! Is this fogger a good choice to use? These things are driving me crazy. Please help!
    A
CB PCO Fogger with Pyrethrins would not likely be helpful for a chigger infestation as it will only kill insects that directly exposed during the application. Further, we recommend you get a second opinion as to the identification of the pest you are dealing with because chiggers are very unlikely to infest houses and they are not active in the winter. We recommend reading the this article: Chiggers, HYG 2100-98 for accurate information on chiggers and why we believe the identification is incorrect.

    Use of fogger in attic?
Can CB PCO Fogger with Pyrethrins be used in attics and is it effective in killing silver fish when using batt and roll insulation?

You can use the fogger in the attic to kill exposed insects. The fogger cannot penetrate into cracks, crevices or under the insulation. We recommend you use the Dekko Silverfish Paks in the attic to help get rid of the hidden silverfish.

    A

The CB Pco Fogger will kill adult moths that are exposed at the time of the fogging but the fog will not be able to penetrate into the folds of the clothing to kill the larva that is actually causing the damage to your sweaters (the adult moths do not feed, the moth larva is what is causing damage to your sweaters. Please read our article How to get Rid of Clothes Moths to learn how to get rid of this damaging pest.
