It can take several months to get rid of a large infestation. Infestations do not get large quickly and, unfortunately, they do not go away quickly, either. Yes, Gentrol can be used in the very same cracks and crevices where you spray Phantom and can be sprayed behind and under the refrigerator to control German Roaches. For roach control, you should repeat applications every 4 months. These insecticides will just kill the roaches that come in contact with it, but as long as you are keeping the Vendetta Plus seperate from the Phantom Aerosol and the Gentrol IGR they will not interfere with each other.
IGR’s including Gentrol Aerosol IGR when used alone will not kill roaches or insects in general as they are only growth inhibitors and stop the growth cycle and reproduction phases. A successful roach treatment program should include a residual insecticide, insect growth regulator and roach bait and repeat applications every 10-14 days will be needed to fully eradicate the colony. The number of retreatments can vary depending on the level of infestation. If you are still seeing roach activity after 60 days, you will want to rotate roach baits as they can develop a resistance or bait aversion. .
You will not always see dead roaches with any product as they will die where ever they die but Gentrol IGR does not kill anything directly only prevents young from maturing into reproducing adults so used as part of a program.

The most common and effective IGR used for German Roach control is Gentrol IGR, which comes in an aerosol, concentrated liquid, and point-source tablet. You would not use both the aerosol and the point source in the same location, however you would be using the IGR in addition to a residual spray and./or gel baits. Please read our German Roach Guide, for further information.
Gentrol Aerosol IGR can be used with any insecticide and can be applied to the seams of seats, edges of carpet where it meets the dash/doors, and other cracks and crevices in cars. Once dry, it is safe to be in the car when the product is used as directed.
Gentrol Aerosol IGR - 16 oz. can is not labeled to used around air vents but is not labeled to be used inside air vents themselves. Prior to treating around air ducts, shut off ventilation system. Turn on air-handling systems immediately after application.
Gentrol Aerosol is the same thing as Gentrol Point Source Stations just in an aerosol form and will work in the same way by transmitting its vapor through the air to disrupt the life cycle. Gentrol is not an insecticide, therefore it will not directly kill mealworms or any other insects. Since mealworms are an immature stage of an insect, though, we recommend you don't use Gentrol in the area the mealworms are kept.
It is best for Gentrol Aerosol IGR to be applied any before any dusts so it gets on the surface vs after you apply a dust that can coat the area. Once the Gentrol application is dry, you can apply dust.
The retreatment time intervals for Gentrol IGR Aerosol are based off the target insects being treated. For roaches, Gentrol IGR Aerosol leaves a residual of 4 months, for bed bugs there is a 2 week residual and for fruit flies/drain flies, the residual is 2-4 weeks. You would do follow up treatments at those intervals per the product label.
You can apply Temprid FX every 90 days and Gentrol Aerosol IGR in the same location every 4 months. The Advion Roach gel should be applied in areas that are not sprayed (every couple of weeks, cleaning up previous bait placements). Suspend SC and Gentrol IGR aerosol can be applied in the same cracks/crevices. You will want to bait with Advion in areas not treated with the products. You can apply 2-3 squirts of Gentrol Aerosol IGR in each drain after coating it with drain gel.
Per the product label: To treat bedbugs, apply to harborage points mentioned above; in addition, under beds, bottom side of box springs (do not treat linens and mattresses), under and behind night stands, to points where carpet and wall meet, cracks in cove base, molding, and other areas where bed bugs harborage. Retreat at 14 days for heavy infestations.
Gentrol Aerosol IGR can be used in conjunction with glueboards, as these are only designed to catch insects while Gentrol prevents young from maturing into reproducing adults. Gentrol is directed to cracks and crevices around the room, traps are laid where you notice activity and are better more for monitoring than eliminating an infestation.

Gentrol Aerosol IGR should not be applied inside the dishwasher. Gentrol Aerosol IGR should not be used around baits or as an insecticide for any of the listed pests, just an insect growth regulator. It will not repel roaches, it provides preventative action, since it disrupts stored product pests' normal development.
When using Gentrol Aerosol IGR for drains, apply product into and around the downspout and catch basin area. This is done with the crack and crevice straw that comes with the product. Coat these areas thoroughly as fly larva develop in the scum buildup on the sides of drain pipes. Be sure not to run water down the drain after application until the product has dried completely. Repeat applications at 2 to 4 week intervals depending upon the severity of infestation.
According to the product SDS for Gentrol Aerosol, any spills should be cleaned up by ventilating the area, and then applying absorbent material to contain the spill. Place in a container for disposal.
The Gentrol Aerosol IGR can be used to treat Indian Meal Moths and other moth species that are listed on the label. This treatment will help stop the insects' reproduction and stop the growth of immature insects.
