    Will Ornamec 170 kill Brome grass in a lawn without damaging the Kentucky Bluegrass?
    A

    Gordons Ornamec 170 Grass Herbicide is a grass killer and will harm Kentucky Bluegrass if sprayed.  When applied to grasses it can only be on Tall Fescue and Zoyiagrass.  Using a pre-emergent like Dimension before the brome germinates would be a better option for control.  If you need to control it post emergent, spot treating with a glyphosate based product and reseeding the KGB would be best.

    Can you use Gordons Ornamec 170 Grass Herbicide in St Augustine grass to control a Bermuda grass invasion?
    I have several patches of Bermuda growing in the yard. I want an herbicide that will knock it down.

    No, Gordons Ornamec 170 will kill your St Augustine turfgrass. Unfortunately, Bermuda grass is so closely related to St. Augustine grass that there is nothing that will remove Bermuda from St. Augustine and not hurt the St. Augustine as well.  In your situation, it is recommended to spot treat the Bermuda with Round Up and kill it directly, and then replant St. Augustine in those areas.     Is Gordons Ornamec 170 Grass Herbicide safe for killing grass growing in the vinca beds under my fir trees?
    The vinca is now matured and thick enough that its very difficult to reach the grasses at ground level.

    Just applied Gordons Ornamec 170 Grass Herbicide to my tall fescue. How long should I wait before applying my Trimec 992 Broadleaf Herbicide?

    Since Gordons Ornamec 170 Grass Herbicide controls only grasses there is no time restriction for applying a broadleaf weed killer like the Trimec 992.

    Gordons Ornamec 170 Grass Herbicide cannot be used around anything edible.  Grass Out Max is an option around the listed crops on the label.

    Will Gordons Ornamec 170 Grass Herbicide kill bermudagrass without injuring my sedge lawn? Is this dangerous to my dogs?

    Gordons Ornamec 170 Grass Herbicide will not harm sedges and is pet safe as long as applied per the product label. You will want to keep children and pets off the treated area until the application has had time to fully dry.

    Don't want to kill centipede.

    Gordons Ornamec 170 Grass Herbicide  could harm Centipede grass. It's mainly for around groundcovers ornamental beds, etc. The fact that Centipede is so sensitive, we recommend to spot treat the Bermuda.

    I have a bottle of Ornamec 170, bought in recent years. Is it still usable? Also, what are the mix rates?

    Gordons Ornamec 170 Grass Herbicide has a shelf life of 3-5 years when stored at room temperature. The mix rate will depend on the type of application you are doing and what type of lawn you have. Please refer the to rate chart on page 2 of the product label.

    Gordons Ornamec 170 Grass Herbicide works through foliar absorption to kill annual and most perennial grasses. You will see growth inhibition of the weeds typically with 48 hours of the application and can take up to 14 days to see full death of the weed.

    What is the Gordons Ornamec 170 Grass Herbicide mixture to kill clover and grass in my vinca?

    Gordons Ornamec 170 Grass Herbicide  should be mixed at approx. 10 oz per gallon of water to treat grassy weeds in Vinca. Ornamec will not kill existing clover. For clover in ornamental ground covers like vinca major/minor, you can carefully spot treat using a non-selective herbicide such as Killzall Herbicide.
