Happy Jack Paracide II Flea And Tick Shampoo is specially formulated to help eliminate fleas and ticks on your pets while effectively cleaning their skin and coat. It contains a combination of active ingredients including Pyrethrins, a water-soluble insecticide that is effective in controlling ticks and fleas. It can also be used on kittens, puppies, ferrets, and horses that are 12 weeks and older. It features a non-alkaline and hypoallergenic formula so it is milder and safer to use, plus it can also be used with other flea and tick control products. This newly improved formula is also biodegradable. Available in 8 oz. bottle.

Follow all precautions and directions. Shake well before use.
For use on Horses, Ferrets, Dogs, Cats, Puppies, and Kittens over the age of 12 weeks for control of Fleas and Ticks. Do not repeat treatment for 7 days. Do not use on puppies and kittens under 12 weeks. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged, pregnant, or nursing animals. Sensitivities may occur using any pesticide product for pets. If signs of sensitivity occur, bathe your pet with mild soap and rinse with large amounts of water. If signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately.
HOW TO USE:
Wet the animal’s coat for 2 - 3 minutes with warm water. Apply shampoo on head and ears and lather. Then repeat procedure with neck, chest, and middle and hindquarters, finishing legs last and paying special attention to the footpads (between the toes) and underbody areas. Wash the head and ear areas carefully, making sure to keep the shampoo out of the animal’s eyes. NOTE: A drop of glycerin in each eye before bathing may prevent or reduce irritation if the shampoo gets in the animal’s eyes. Pay special attention to the base of the tail, as it is a place frequented by fleas. Fully lather animal and let lather remain on animal for 5 minutes before rinsing thoroughly with water. NOTE: This final step is an important part of grooming procedure. For small dogs and cats less than 15 pounds, wrapping the animal in a towel for several minutes to absorb moisture is advised. This also will allow dying fleas and ticks to crawl off animal into towel before drying animal with a towel or blow dryer. Flea and tick control on the animal is only part of the solution to the problem. The inside of the house and the outdoor area used by the animal must also be treated for complete control.

Happy Jack Paracide Flea And Tick Shampoo is not labeled for mite control. Do you know what types of mites the dog has? We do carry Happy Jacks Kennel Dip II which is labeled for mange mites.

Happy Jack Paracide Flea and Tick Shampoo is designed as a knockdown product and is most effective on target insects at the time of use. This shampoo may repel some insects for 2-3 days after application, but for the best long-term control we would recommend pairing this with another long-term flea and tick control product, such as ZoGuard Plus for Dogs or for Cats. You must wait 7 days between applications of Happy Jack Paracide Flea and Tick Shampoo.

Happy Jack Paracide Flea And Tick Shampoo does state on the product label to avoid contact with skin, so it would be recommended to wear gloves when using.
