I have an older Have a Heart trap and it never fails to catch a coon...this new 2 door trap is made with smaller Guage wire...is made loose and sloppy by comparison and has failed to ever catch a coon!!! They trip it fine and it has failed numerous times to catch a coon...that's probably a good thing since my coons are very strong and they would probably rip it apart !!

I for one am grateful that you people exist and have made my purchase a breeze I contacted five or six companies before I found you and it was like talking to a wall you people are definitely the best that Ive come across thank you and the trap works very well already have caught three Critters groundhogs to be more specific thanks again

Of the Havahart traps that we carry, the next size down with 2 doors would be the Havahart Cage 1025 Trap. The dimensions are 17.5 in. L x 5.25 in. W x 5.25 in. H. The Havahart Cage Trap Model 1079 has one door, and the dimensions are 32 in. L x 10 in. W x 12 in. H.

To set up the Havahart Large 2-Door Trap (1045), follow the following directions from the Havahart website below:Step 1. Lift up the door lock at the top of the trap.
Step 2. Press the door lock frame in, pulling the door up to open the trap.
Step 3. To keep open, rotate the trigger rod, and the door will lock into place.
Step 4. You may set 1 or 2 of the doors on the trap depending on placement location.
