    Q
Do the HexPro Termite Baiting Systems kill the termites or just lets you know they are there?
I was planting and found termites in the soil very close to my house. I would like to know best way to get rid of them.
    A

The Termite Baiting System Kits are put down to monitor activity around the home first and if a termite colony finds its way into one of the stations, then you would put one of the poison bait cartridges into that station only to eliminate the colony that is there.

    Q
Can HexPro Termite Baiting System- Pro Kit be used where landscaping plastic is also being used?
In my flower bed I'm using landscaping plastic for weed control. I read the product label and saw place stations every 8 to 20 feet and 2 to 4 feet from the foundation. Can I poke holes in the plastic and extend the station in to the ground?
    A

Yes, you can use the HexPro Termite Baiting System - Pro Kit with landscaping plastic. You would cut a hole in the plastic to accomodate the station in the ground, and it would fit flush against it once it is installed. The stations would still be effective as long as they are buried in the ground as stated on the product label.

    Q
How often do you check the HexPro Termite Baiting System?
    A

It is recommended to check the HexPro Termite Baiting Stations every 30 - 90 days to see if the termite activity has stopped. When activity stops, the Shatter Termite Bait can be removed and replaced with a wood monitor as you will repeat the process as needed.

  • Asked by Donna from Fort Lauderdale

    Q
Should I put the Hexpro Termite Baiting System in under our deck?
We have a large old wood deck 8" above dirt, which ends 12" from house. Will build the trench BUT should I also place the bait systems into the deck in case they also live under the deck?
    A

If you do not have access to treat right against the foundation under the deck with the trenching method, then placing bait stations underneath it is better than doing nothing at all and will help you monitor activity in that area. If you have access to do a trench unde the deck then the stations would not be required and it would only be for extra protection. Be sure to trench around any piers that support the deck as well to protect termite damage there.

    Q
Will the Hexpro Stations and Shatter Termite Bait work put where I move a piece of wood and see termites?
I sometimes move pieces of wood on my land and find termites. Will it work to dig a hole there and insert the station with bait?
    A

If you find termites out in the yard then you would want to do a direct treatment to the soil in a drench with a product like Talstar P. The Hexpro Stations and Shatter Bait would not be what you should use to try to control termites in the yard.

    Q

Tengo termitero aereo que se extiende en zona de parqueaderos y no se cuantas estaciones de cebo utilizar y en que momento se deben de cambiar.
    A
