    Will Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer kill torpedo grass?

    Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer is not labeled for torpedo grass. Torpedo grass is hard to treat. We are not aware of a product that will treat Torpedo and not also harm your lawn. You may want to consider spot treating with RoundUp.

    Will Atrazine control doveweed in centipede lawn?

    Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer is not labeled to treat doveweed, BlindSide is a very effective post-emergent herbicide that will kill existing doveweed in sensitive grasses such as centipede.

    Can Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer be applied in the summer?
    A

    Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer can be applied early in the morning before temperatures reach 90 degrees if it's expected to get this hot on the day of application.  You just do not want to apply during the time of high temperature because your desirable turfgrass is under more stress in high heat.

    Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer could harm shrubs or bushes. We recommend to not apply the Atrazine around the bushes/shrubs. Gordons Ornamec would be a better choice.

    Ground is tilled and free of grass and there are weeds now?

    Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer cannot be used over/around anything edible.  It is only labeled to be used on St Augustine or Centipede turfgrass.

    Will Atrazine kill and prevent Creeping Indigo in St Augustine grass?

    Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer is not labeled for creeping indigo. It is not a pre-emergent so it would not prevent any weeds from emerging.

    I have older and some young pecan trees, most of the young ones are starting to have pecans. Is Atrazine safe to use around the trees?

    How long before rainfall can Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer be administered?
    A

    According to the Hi Yield Atrazine Weed Killer Product Label: Rain or water within 2 or 3 days of application may decrease the effectiveness on emerged weeds. However, for the control of weeds from seeds, rainfall or watering is necessary within 7 to 10 days after treatment.

    What would the ratio of Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer be with a sprayer hooked to a water hose?
    A

    Applications should be made only with a hand pump sprayer equipped with a flat fan spray tip. Correct calibration of the sprayer is essential. Overdosing will cause severe plant injury and or death to the desired turf. Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer should not be used in a hose end sprayer. Please review the product label to be sure this product fits your needs.

    Atrazine 4L is a stronger active ingredient product that is restricted use.  Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer contains the same active at a lower rates for consumer applications.

    Can I use Hi-Yield Atrazine to treat my Bermuda grass lawn for broadleaf weeds?
    What herbicide is best for this type grass that will not hurt the Bermuda? I would prefer Atrazine but not sure if it will hurt the Bermuda.

    Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer is not labeled for use on Bermuda grass, so we would not recommend this application. We do offer other products such as Speedzone that would work for broadleaf control on Bermuda turf.

    Herbicides and insecticides should not be mixed.  It is recommended to apply Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer and then apply an insecticide separately.

    Hi-Yield Atrazine Weed Killer is mixed at the following rates as directed on the product label: 

    5 tsp. per quart of water per 100 sq. ft. 
    4.3 oz. per 1 gallons on water per 500 sq. ft.
