How soon does it kill the ticks and fleas after applying them to the dog?

Answer:

Hi-Yield Garden, Pet, and Livestock Dust provides a slow kill and does need to be applied every 3 weeks. Depending on the infestation this would only be a temporary fix. 
 
We suggest using residual insecticide sprays for the best control of insects like fleas and ticks in a dog pen area. You can use concentrates such as Onslaught Insecticide mixed with NyGuard IGR for excellent treatment and control of common insects in these areas. Be sure the animals are out of the treatment area until the application is dry. We have more tips on flea control in this online guide.
