The Inzecto Mosquito Trap uses two modes of action to kill Aedes species mosquitoes and their larvae. The larvicide kills mosquito larvae when they hatch from eggs in the water inside of the trap. There is also an adulticide which kills adult mosquitoes when they contact the internal surface of the trap. The trap’s unique patented design provides an ideal environment for breeding mosquitoes laying their eggs. Multiple studies have shown that mosquitoes prefer to lay their eggs in Inzecto traps versus other breeding grounds, which reduces the amount of eggs mosquitoes lay in alternative water containers. The trap’s internal surface is coated with a patented slow release mix of larvicide and adulticide. More than 90% of adult female mosquitoes die upon contacting the trap’s internal surface. In some cases, mosquitoes may lay eggs before dying inside the trap. When that happens, all of the larvae from those eggs are killed by the pesticide in the water once the eggs hatch. To use, simply fill traps with water and place traps outdoors in a shady area protected from the wind. If using more than one trap, place traps at least 30 feet apart. Place on the ground on a flat surface or hang from a tree or other structure.

Great Product

I recently started using these and they are great. It is important to remember that you still need to treat for mosquitoes on top of this and the traps will get most of the stragglers. There is no secret weapon to rid your property of every single mosquito considering they fly in but these traps are an excellent addition to minimize the population.

Really works for Asian Tiger Mosquitos
By Richard on 06/24/2022
I had a horrible Asian Tiger Mosquito infestation. I had previously been very diligent about removing all breeding sites from my property but they were still breeding on my neighbor's property. I put 4 or these out on 1/3 of an acre (most against the shady fence that separates my house from my neighbors). I believe I've gotten about a 90 % reduction in mosquitoes after 3 weeks. I did not use an adulticide, but if you have a really bad infestation I would spray for adults and put these out at the same time to speed up the process. It's easy to place these traps out. Much less labor intensive than spraying all the shady areas. I think starting early in the year is important with any of these traps.

Mosquito trap
By Tim on 07/01/2023
As with any trap, it needs water. Most pest companies and home owners don't really know where to place them, for any of these traps to work. Any yard would need to have at least 8 traps placed in the yard. It's been proven that mosquitoes don't pick up enough larvaecide to infect enough water to kill the larvae. Plus if your neighbors don't do anything to help with mosquitoes, then it's not worth it. There are so many breeding grounds around a home, neighborhood that go unnoticed. Everyone one is making new gimmicks to rid the world of mosquitoes, it's just a money making scam.

Do not want to kill pollinators / specifically bees.
The Inzecto Mosquito Trap has insecticide coated on the inside of the trap. While it does not attract bee, it may kill bees that enter the trap.
Are these traps multiple or one-time use? Is there replacement product to replenish?
Per the label, the Inzecto Mosquito Trap lasts 90 days and 1000 rinses. You would need to replace with a new trap after that time.
How would the effectiveness of it compare to traditional spraying? I live on a shady 1/3 acre lot. Have your customers had good luck?
