APPLICATION INFORMATION
KONTOS is a Suspension Concentrate formulation. Following application to plant foliage, KONTOS is fully systemic, moving through phloem and xylem to all plant tissues including new shoot, leaf and root growth. Spray adjuvants with spreading and penetrating characteristics may improve leaf uptake and systemic concentration of active ingredient. The active ingredient contained in KONTOS is active primarily by ingestion. Fecundity of adult insects and mites may be reduced. Make applications as preventative treatments or to coincide with early threshold levels in developing insect and mite populations. KONTOS can be applied by ground equipment (including hand-held application equipment) or through chemigation.
CONTAINER DRENCH APPLICATIONS - SMALL CONTAINERS

Do not apply more than 25 fl oz (750 ml, 0.4 lb of active ingredient) per acre of nursery per season.
Do not apply more than 5 fl oz of product (0.08 lb of active ingredient) per acre per season to vegetable transplants.

Kontos SC for Two-Spotted Spider Mite
By Mw on 06/18/2014
Works good on immature life stages but not as well on the adult. Had to follow-up with another class of chemical. This is a good one to have in rotation if used early in development. For the money, it should kill adults better and faster. Used it both as a foliar and drench application with similar results; however, the drench rate instructions are not specific enough to apply to landscapes. Probably won't buy again if the same results are produced in the future.

I have few flats of herbs that were accidentally sprayed with Kontos and my question is how long to wait to consume the plants?
Kontos SC Insecticide Miticide is not labeled for application on herbs so it would not be recommended to consume anything that was accidentialy sprayed. It would be best to dispose of them.
