Just moved to Big Island of Hawaii; hoping shipping is reasonable.
    A

  • Asked by Keith from Lansing, Michigan
    05/12/2017
    Q
Will LambdaStar UltraCap 9.7% work for mosquitoes?
I see that the main ingredient in LambdaStar is the same as Cutters Backyard Bug Control Concentrate but in a higher concentration. Will LambdaStar also work for mosquito control? How long will it last, and how many gallons can I make with this bottle?
    A

Mosquito treatment is ideal with LambdaStar UltraCap due to the powerful knockdown and extended residual activity.  When you are treating outdoors, you will need to apply every 30 days.  For mosquito control, you will mix 0.2-0.4 oz per gallon of water.  The 16 oz bottle of Lambdastar will make 40-80 gallons of solution depending on the rate at which you mix it.

  • Asked by Shawn from Phoenix, Az
    08/17/2015
    Q
Is LambaStar UltraCap 9.7% the best for scorpions?
We are in hot Arizona weather with a block fence. What product is best for scorpions, LambdaStar, Cy-Kick, or Onslaught FastCap?
    A

All the products that you have listed are great choices for scorpion control in the heat because they are all micro-encapsulated and will, therefore, hold up better in the heat. LambdaStar UltraCap 9.7% is fairly economical since it is used at a rate of 0.8 ounces per gallon of water for scorpion control. CyKick CS is our most popular concentrate for scorpion control. Onslaught FastCap differs in that it contains an extra active ingredient for faster initial kill when applied. This insecticide also covers and extremely broad list of pests on the product label. Please see our Scorpion Control Page for more information and tips about treating for scorpions.

  • Asked by Earwighater from Descanso
    05/12/2016
    Q
Is LambdaStar UltraCap 9.7% the best spray to kill and keep earwigs out and away from our home?
Earwig infestation outside of our country house and they are coming in and all over the place. We kill them all day in the house and there a a gazillion outside of the house. We live in the country on natural land. We are on a well and don't like to use chemicals unless necessary. You pick anything up in the house and under it lies an earwig.
    A

LambdaStar UltraCap 9.7% is labeled for earwigs. I would recommend that you use Onslaught FastCap Spider and Scorpion Insecticide  as well as Trapper LTD Mouse/Insect Glue Boards to help trap them indoors. The Onslaught would give you complete control both indoors and out as well as be odorless and non-staining. Be sure to use this product no less than 5 feet from your well as well. Earwigs prefer moist, dense soil where there is plenty of organic buildup to feed them, so looking for ways to help soil air out - such as turning the soil and removing excess covering like mulch or pine straw - will also make those areas less attractive to the earwigs.

  • Asked by Sjr from San Jose
    10/24/2017
    Q
Can I spray LambdaStar UltraCap in the attic and along baseboards?
I have a severe silverfish/firebrat infestation in my house. I got pest control done and the technician sprayed Suspend SC inside along the baseboard and floor three weeks back. My questions are: - Is LambdaStar UltraCap more effective than Suspend SC ? - Can I spray LambdaStar UltraCap along baseboards over SuspendSC? - The attic was not treated, can I spray LambdaStar UltraCap in the attic?
    A

LambdaStar UltraCap 9.7% can be applied to baseboards, cracks, crevices, and in the attic. Suspend will also get the job done. Silverfish can come in from the outside around your foundation or they can be brought in from boxes or other stored products.  They will hang out inside wall voids but are very commonly found in bathrooms and attics when they come out to forage for food and water.  They will eat glue and adhesives in dresser drawers, bookshelves and bookcases, paintings, etc.  We recommend our Silverfish Kit for complete control of these pests.

  • Asked by Tammy from Astor, Fl
    06/26/2017
    Q
What is the shelf life of LambdaStar UltraCap 9.7%? Also, is it labeled to spray on plants?
I still have a new bottle of Lambda which was stored inside from 7/30/12......will it still be effective? Also, can you spray this on plants, shrubs, etc as long as there are not edible? Thanks
    A

LambdaStar UltraCap 9.7% is labeled for use on plants.  It has a shelf life of 3-5 years when stored at room temperature.  If you have had yours since 2012, it is nearing the end of its shelf life.  It certainly would not hurt anything if you want to try to use it now, but if you find that you aren't getting the same results that you once did, it is probably time for some new product.
