This product is designed for outdoor use.

This bottle is designed to hook to a garden hose. The spray top has an off position, a water only position and water plus product position. The nozzle has a fan spraysetting, and a straight stream setting that will shoot up to about 30 ft, depending on water pressure. The fan spray is used for most applications. The straight stream setting is good for shooting from a distance, such as at a nest.

This bottle is designed to empty after about 6 gallons of water has been sprayed. For best results, spray using moderate water pressure, so that it comes out in a nice, gentle fan pattern, at about 2 gallons per minute. Don’t use this product in the same area where you’ve used a Maggie’s Farm insect bait. Baits work by the insect eating them. This product is a contact killer and repellent, so you want to be sure not to repel insects from an area where you put down bait. If you want to apply bait in the same area you sprayed, wait and apply bait 2-3 days after spraying.

This product will kill by contact and repel a wide range of flying and crawling insects, plant pests, spiders and ticks. Up to two weeks of mosquito repellency can be expected provided there is no heavy rainfall. Wait a day or two before mowing or watering the treated area for best results.

Lawn Treatment:

For fleas, ticks, mosquitoes and general insect control, spray in a gentle sweeping motion to cover the area, spending 30 sec to a 1 min per 1000 sq ft (1-2 gals per 1000 sq ft).

Bushes and Heavy Vegetation: These are areas where mosquitoes and ticks especially tend to harbor. Spray thoroughly, being sure to get the lower and inner areas, not just the tops. 1-1.5 min (2-3 gallons) per 1000 sq ft of ground area is recommended, using higher amounts for denser vegetation.

Ornamental Plants:

To kill plant pests, spray at a rate of 30 sec to 1 min (1-2 gals) per 1000 sq ft of ground, making sure to thoroughly wet foliage. Try to get on the underside of leaves as much as possible.

Building Foundation:

To help keep pests from getting inside, spray the foundation at a rate of 30 sec (1 gal) per 1000 sq ft.

Stinging Insects:

Be extremely careful when treating nests of stinging insects. Treat from a safe distance using the straight stream setting. For protection, cover as much of your skin as possible with clothing. For best results, treat in the early morning or late evening when the largest number of insects will be in the nest. Thoroughly spray the nest and nest entrances and repeat a day or two later if there is still activity. Individuals who are allergic to insect stings should never treat stinging insects. Have someone else do the treatment or call a professional. This product is recommended for hanging and tree nests. For nests in the ground or nests in walls, Maggie’s Farm Spider and Insect Dust is recommended. Read the label directions on that product before using. Certain species such as yellow jackets and hornets are very aggressive. Use extreme caution when treating these insects, or call a professional.
