    Q
Why is Martins Permethrin available for shipment to CA., however the item Hi-Yield Indoor/Outdoor is not. Why?
Curious as to why one is available for CA. shipment and usage, when they both have the exact same active ingredient (10% permethrin)?
    A
It is a matter of registration.  The manufacturer of Hi-Yield Indoor/Outdoor Broad Use Insecticide with 10% Permethrin Insecticide has not registered it for use in the state of CA while Martins Permethrin 10% has been registered by the manufacturer.

  • Asked by Charles from Los Angeles

    Q
Will Martins Permethrin 10% work for Scabies?
I would like to spray all the furniture, walls, beds etc in multiple rooms. will that be ok? will it ruin the paint or wallpaper? how long after spraying will the room need to remain unused? what is the dilution ratio for that? (I know there is dilution info on the packaging but i need to know how much to purchase....)
    A
Martins Permethrin 10% is not labeled to treat scabies nor is it labeled to be used on furniture or beds and they do not live on those surfaces.  Scabies mites live on/in the skin and we do not carry anything to treat humans. Scabies mites do not infest the home, they are a dermal(skin) problem that must be addressed by a dematologist and the creams or medicines they prescribe.   You may spray your furniture with a product such as Steri-fab to kill anything on furniture though treating the home is usually not necessary.

  • Asked by Valerie from Cleveland

    Q
Can Martins Permethrin 10% be used on fruit trees to control Peach Tree borers?
    A
Martins Permethrin is not labeled for use on fruit trees. You can use a product that contains permethrin but it must be labeled for use on non bearing edible vegetation such as Tengard SFR. Unfortunately once the beetles have already infested the bark of a peach tree there are not any viable treatment options. In cases of infestation the general recommendation is to simply protect the surrounding trees with preventative sprays with a product labeled for such a use.

  • Asked by John from Hico, Texas

    Q
Can this product Martins Permethrin 10% be used in 55 gallon spray systems?
    A
The label states that if using in a for or misting system for mosquitoes, flies and gnats to dilute at the rate of 1 quart of Martins permethrin per 25 gallons of water. So for 55 gallons you would use roughly 70 ounces of solution. However it does not specifically state on the label the use of a 55 gallon drum misting system so you may still want to check with the manufacturer to make sure it is okay for this type of application. You can reach Control Solutions at 1-281-892-2500.

    Q
when you spray cattle how long do you have to wait till you can slaughter them for human consumption?
    A
The Martins Permethrin 10% doesn't specifically state on its label a time frame for cattle being sent to slaughter, it only refers to poultry and swine. The time frame for those animals is 5 days since your last spray before they can be sent for slaughter so to be on the safe side we would suggest the same for your cattle.
