    When applied as directed (2 tsp per mound), will Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer harm honeybees, birds, or lizards that may come into contact with the mound?
    Once Surrender has done its job, can I water it into the ground so that it will no longer harm beneficial insects?

    Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer is highly toxic to birds and is also highly toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment on blooming crops or weeds, according to the product label.  Although not specified by the manufacturer, lizards could potentially be adversely effected by this product as well.

    Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer is very toxic to birds/poultry. Never place anywhere it can be accessed by birds/poultry. This product is for outdoor use only.

    Applied Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer to ant mounds 4 weeks ago. Dogs have been digging into the dead mounds, eating the soil and now showing signs of toxic poisoning, can this damage be corrected?

    will this product control Yellow jackets?
    I have used surrender ant killer to kill out 4 Yellowjackets nest 3 nest were under shrubs I did not want to damage with chemicals so after dark I dumped a spoon full dow the whole 1 was in a porch foundation that only had a quarter inch crack on the side and could not get to the nest so I sprinkled a spoonful in the crack placed a piece of clear packing tape to hold powder in place The next day no Yellowjackets were present at any nest Due to the nest locations I have not dug the nest up to inspect Have you studied thie any killer on Yellowjackets?

    How do you open the can for the Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer?

    Martin's Surrender Fire Ant Killer is opened similarly to a can of paint. Using a flat head screwdriver, place the tip of the screwdriver under the lip of the lid and gently pry the lid up, working your way around the lid.

    What happens if you use surrender in your home?

It is an illegal and off-label usage to use it indoors, and doing so could potentially cause harm or safety issues to the individuals in the home. You must always follow product label instructions as listed on the packaging.     Will it harm the goats grazing in the pasture? How long must i keep the goats away after applying product

    Martin's Surrender Fire Ant Killer is not labeled for grazing areas or pasture. We would not recommend using it in those areas. Extinguish Plus Fire Ant Bait would be a better option in this case.

    How can you calm the smell of Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer product ?

    Unfortunately there is no way to neutralize the smell of Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer. It should only last a couple days outdoors. We would advise storing it somewhere you do not often visit. You can try Earth Care Odor Remover Bag but overall anything with Acephate is going to have this strong potent smell

    Spayed Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer in my home by an maintenance working trying to get rid of roaches
    Is this product used for in home and if not what is the best way to get rid of the product

    Surrender Fire Ant Killer is labeled for Outdoors and should not be used inside at all.. We would recommend cleaning up product used in home and removing with mild soap and contacting the manufacturer directly for further advice on removal.

    Local Nursery recommended Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer for treating sod webworms, curious what other pests this product will treat?

    Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer is only labeled for Imported Fire Ants and Harvester Ants. It is not labeled to control any other insects and should not be used in such applications off the Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer product label. 

    Talstar XTRA Granules would be a better option for a broad range of insects such as sod webworms, armyworms, mole crickets, fire & carpenter ants, fleas, ticks,  in lawns, landscape beds, perimeter band treatments, etc.

    Can Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer be applied near wells? The product label mentions avoiding surface water, but not sure how this will affect being on a well.
    A

    Since Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer is only labeled for direct mound treatments of fire ants and not a liquid concentrate or granule insecticide that is mixed with water or required to be watered in, there should be no concern applying to properties with a well. We do recommend keeping 5ft away from the well opening as a precaution.

    Can Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer be used in a flower bed?

    Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer can be used in flower beds once a year for mound treatments. Extinguish Plus Fire Ant Bait that is labeled for mound and a broadcast application and is applied on a dry day when you are not expecting any rainfall for atleast 24 hours.

    Can Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer be applied with a hand duster?

    The Martins Surrender Fire Ant Killer should not be applied with any type of duster. It is meant to be sprinkled dry over the ant mounds. Evenly distribute 1-2 teaspoons over each mound.
