I use this pump on a daily basis going on two years and have had Zero issues with it. I typically average about 300-psi through it and it takes everything i throw at it. I have used other pumps that are 2 & 3 times the price of this one that require constant maintenance and the MSD41 performs just as good if not better. I would definitely recommend this pump .

Per the manufacturer, the Maruyama MSD41 Piston Pump has a regulator.

Can load bear 1.7 hp like GK 100 kerason oil engine
The Maruyama MSD41 Piston Pump requires at least a 4 horsepower engine to function. So if you are only using a 1.7 horsepower engine, then the pump would not work properly.
