    Q
What is the difference between the Maxforce FC Select roach bait gel and MaxForce FC roach bait gel?
    A
The Maxforce FC Roach Bait gel comes in a 60 gram tube and is the original formula. The Maxforce FC Select Roach Bait Gel comes in a smaller 30 gram tube that is designed to be able to be used on bait guns to make application easier. Maxforce FC Select contains the same active ingredient as the original Maxforce FC, but the attractants have been reformulated to help attract even the most bait adverse roaches.

    Q
How long does MaxForce FC Select Roach Bait Gel work before you have to use it again?
    A

Maxforce FC Roach Bait Gel will remain effective for months once it is applied.  However, what really determines how often you should apply it is how much activity you have.  If you have a lot of roach activity, then once you apply the product it could be eaten by the roaches in just a few days and you would need to re-apply often to keep up with the activity.

    Q
What is the most effective roach gel for german roaches?
is there an expiration date on the maxforce magnum gel?
    A
Maxforce Magnum does have the fastest knockdown and is a great choice for a quick clean-out when used as part of a roach control program. Roach Baits do not come with expiration dates but we do encourage folks to use the bait within 1 year of purchase as the food based ingredients will eventually degrade and be less attractive to roaches.

    Q
How long does Maxforce FC Select Roach Bait Gel work ? Do they eat it even after it hardens after 1-2 days ?

Roaches will still eat the gel even if it hardens.  Any gel that is not consumed should be cleaned up and reapplied as needed, or at least every 2 weeks.

    Q
If I store Maxforce FC Select Roach Bait Gel inside an aluminum toolbox, will the heat of a 90 degree day make the bait go bad?
I notice it to be watery after a hot day
    A

It is recommended that you store Maxforce FC Select Roach Bait Gel out of extreme temperatures, meaning no temperatures above 90 degrees Fahrenheit and not below 30 degrees Fahrenheit. If you are traveling throughout the day with the product, that is fine. It will not lose its effectiveness. If you are not working, be sure to store this out of the extreme temperatures.

  • Asked by Jim from Statesboro, Ga
    07/07/2017
    Q
How soon after treating with Maxforce FC Select Roach Bait Gel can I put dishes & silverware back?
    A

Actually, since you would not be applying Maxforce FC Select Roach Bait Gel in areas where dishes or silverware would come into contact with the bait, this would not be a concern. The gel bait should be applied in the upper corners of cabinets, under the lip of counter top, on the door hinge to the cabinet, etc. A useful tip is to cut wax paper into 1 x 1 squares and place a pea size amount on the wax paper. This makes it easy to slide far back into cabinets, under appliances and to replace the bait placements after 2-3 weeks or when the bait is consumed. We have a diagram here which illustrates more areas where bait can be placed.

    Q
Is the attracting ingredient in Maxforce FC Select Roach Bait Gel honeydew?
    A

Maxforce FC Select Roach Bait Gel and other gel baits have a combination of food-grade ingredients in the bait matrix that is designed to be highly attractive to roaches. Some of the food attractants will be sweet, but we cannot know if actual honeydew fruit is included in these ingredients.

    Q
What is the best temperature that we can apply the Maxforce FC Select Roach Bait Gel?
    A

There is no set temperature that is best for applying the Maxforce FC Select Roach Bait Gel as it is more for inside applications.  If using outside it is only placed in areas that are not exposed to weather, ie in cracks and crevices.  It would be best to not apply when it is too hot if doing so as it will cause the bait to be more liquidy and not stay in the applied area.

    Q
How much Maxforce FC Select Roach Bait Gel does a roach need to consume for a lethal dosage?
    A

Roaches don’t necessarily need to consume Maxforce FC Select Bait.  They can just walk through it for control.  It will still kill the roach that walked through it and the other roaches that it contacts by transfer effect.

    Q
If the Maxforce FC Select Roach Bait Gel turns into a liquid form is it still good?
    A

Hot temperatures can cause the Maxforce FC Select Roach Bait Gel to liquefy.  You can put the tube in the refrigerator for a short time to assist it in becoming it’s gel consistency.  The product will still be effective.  Please be sure that you’re storing them in a temperature controlled environment and out of direct sunlight. Q
What happens if Maxforce FC Select is applied but isn't accessible to wipe clean after?
For example, small crack underneath sink cabinet or cracks between rubber baseboard trim. Would like to keep access to apply future product but cannot really clean up old application. Will this attract roaches and cause other problems?
    A

Maxforce FC Select Roach Bait Gel could be applied to cracks or crevices but if you are not able to remove it and would like to apply other products in the future we advise you do not apply in those areas. In cracks or crevices you can apply a product like Cimexa Dust using a duster.

    Q
Can Maxforce FC Select Roach Bait Gel be placed in the dresser and will it kill the eggs?
    A

Use Maxforce FC Roach Bait gel as a spot or crack and crevice treatment indoors dressers would not be considered crack or crevice.  Baits will not effect the eggs only those that injest the bait.
See our Indoor Roach Control Guide for images of placement examples. On dressers and all areas sanitation should always be the top priority when treating for roaches! Read all the bullets under step 1 on our roach control page to learn more about how to get rid of roaches using sanitation
