    Q
Can I use Evergreen and Miracle-Gro Acid Loving Plant Food 28-10-10 on foxglove and lavender?
    A

We would not recommend using Miracle-Gro Miracid Plant Food on either lavender or on foxglove. Lavender prefers nutrient poor soils, and too much fertilizer can prevent blooming. Foxgloves also can suffer from over-fertilization. You can use a balanced plant food for them such as Fertilome All Purpose Water Soluble Plant Food.

  • Asked by Markham from Austin Texas
    02/11/2021
    Q
How much does the pH drop for annual color bed under one application of Miracle Gro Miracid?
I live in Austin Texas. we have a high pH here. I will be adding sulfur to our color beds both spring and fall. I still need to drop it quicker. Will Miracid drop it one whole point of pH or how much per application. I do use a foliar feeding every 2 weeks on all our color beds. A light mixture of Miracle-Gro, Hasta-Gro, and Super Thrive in a four gallon backpack sprayer. Most of our annual color is in the range of 6-7. We use drip and regular irrigation and our water for irrigation is at a 9.5. Could I just use Miracid instead of the Miracle Gro in my foliar feed application?
    A

The manufacturer states that Miracle-Gro Miracid Plant Food would actually raise the PH. Since your PH is so high they do not recommend using the Miracid.
