    Q
What is the lowest temperature that Monterey Garden Phos can be used to treat boxwood blight?
    A

Per the product label, make applications of Monterey Garden Phos Systemic Fungicide before disease development and in conjunction with good cultural management practices. Use higher rate of application when disease pressure is severe.  Do not apply to plants that are in a state of dormancy.  There is a great article here that suggests it should be applied above 60 degrees and when rain is expected.

Will Monterey Garden Phos Systemic Fungicide treat Botrytis on oriental lilies? Drench or spray, and at what concentration? Thanks
    A

Monterey Garden Phos Systemic Fungicide is not labeled for botrytis.  Ferti-Lome Triple Action is labeled to be used for it.  It is used at a rate of 1 oz in 1 gallon of water, spray until foliage is wet but not dripping. As a preventative, apply Ferti-Lome Triple Action on a 7 to 14 day schedule until the potential for disease development is no longer present. To control disease already present, apply this product on a 7 day schedule until disease pressure is eliminated. Then continue spraying on a 14 day schedule to prevent the disease from reoccurring.

  • Asked by Sandy from Medfield, Mass
    06/10/2019
    Q
Would Monterey Garden Phos Systemic Fungicide work to treat peonies infected with phytophthora? Would it be best to treat with a foliage application or a soil drench?
Disease symptoms are on the upper stem, leaves and petals. There doesn't appear to be any disease at the base of stems, questioning any root disease. I have been spraying with Mancozeb every 7-10 days or so which seems to be helping. Also, can I continue to use Mancozeb alternately with the Agri-Fos treatment.
    A

Monterey Garden Phos Systemic Fungicide can be applied as either a foliage spray or soil drench as directed on the product label.  You can rotate between fungicides to prevent resistance

Foliar Spray: Apply spray to thoroughly wet all foliage. Application intervals: 14 to 21 days. Repeat as required. 2 to 4 tsp. per gallon of water.

Soil Drench: Apply each 25 gallons of solution to an area of 100 sq. ft. Follow application with irrigation. Repeat as required. Limit of one application per month 1/8 tsp. per gallon of water.

  • Asked by Daniel from Gilmer, Tx
    10/17/2019
    Q
Can you tank mix Monterey Garden Phos Systemic Fungicide with Bonide Neem Oil?
I'm spraying grapes for downy mildew and powdery mildew, it would be nice to tank mix and spray once. Is this compatible with neem oil?
    A

We would recommend that you spray Monterey Garden Phos Systemic Fungicide and neem oil separately in rotation (probably every 2 weeks) for best results. If you plan to mix the products, then we would test on a few plants first for tolerance since oils can cause extra sensitivity on plants if mixed with other products.
