    Q
Can a neutral oil be used with MSM to help adhesion to the weeds?
I have used Over the Top liquid herbicide and 1 oz of oil was recommended for each ounce of herbicide to a gallon of water. It showed the treated area and helped with the sticking to the weeds.
    A

A nonionic surfactant should be applied along with Quali-Pro MSM Turf Herbicide for best results.

    Q
Can you mix this product with Celsius?
    A

MSM does state on the product label: Tank mixes with other registered herbicides and MSM Turf Herbicide should be tested for compatibility before full scale mixing. Use mechanical or bypass agitation to thoroughly mix the spray suspension. It is not necessary to premix this product with water in a separate container prior to adding it to the spray tank. This product should always be added to the tank first, before any other herbicides or adjuvants

Please review both product labels for complete instructions and tank mixing instructions.

    Q
Will MSM Turf Herbicide kill mimosa pudica?
Would like to use for dandelions and mimosa pudica on centipede grass. Will this cover both applications?
    A

MSM Turf Herbicide is not labeled specifically for mimosa pudica (shameplant) however per the product label, this product may injure legumes that are undersown in rangeland or are found in seeding mixtures.

Using a glyphosate herbicide such as Roundup to spot treat the mimosa directly would be recommended.

  • Asked by Charley from Salado, Tx

    Q
Can I use MSM Turf to spot spray and kill bermuda?
I need to kill a Bermuda grass infestation on my St Augustine lawn.
    A

Unfortunately MSM Turf Herbicide is not labeled for bermuda grass control as it is tolerable to applications.

Recognition Herbicide along with Fusilade would be the best selective option to control bermuda in St Augustine following the instructions on the supplemental label.  Otherwise you can use a non selective herbicide to spot treat the bermuda and resod the St Augustine once fully controlled.

    Q
How much MSM to cover about 500 sq. ft
I have prostrate knotweed in buffalo grass, and I need to know how much MSM to use in one gallon of water. If there is leftover solution, I intend to spot-spray dandelions throughout my large yard.
    A

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to measure 0.01 oz of Quali-Pro MSM Turf Herbicide to make a 1 gallon solution. Per the manufacturer, their recommended rate to use for spot applications is of 0.1 oz per 4 gallons of water, which can be easily measured with their measuring device provided.

    Q
What to do now? I think I accidentally got too close to my blackberries with MSM Turf Herbicide
I think I accidentally got too close to my blackberries. They're showing signs of yellowing at the apical ends and getting chlorosis. It's only in the blackberries on the end that I sprayed near. I had no idea the roots went that far. Is there anything I can do to help them through this injury?
    A

Any edible vegetation that has contacted the product should be disposed of. Per the manufacturer, you would need to wait at least one full year from the last application of MSM Turf Herbicide in that area before any edibles of any kind could be planted in the treated area. For further information on this, we would recommend reaching out to the manufacturer directly at 800-242-5562.

  • Asked by Mike from Jacksonville, Fl
    03/29/2023
    Q
Can/Should I use Fahrenheit along with MSM?
My lawn is pretty infected with dollar weed. My first application of MSM is looking great, yellowing out all the weeds. Would it be advisable to alternate every 4 weeks between MSM and Fahrenheit? Or some different application ratio between the two?
    A

Fahrenheit and MSM both contain metsulfuron-methyl and doing too much can damage the good grass. You should do those separately to not stress or damage the lawn. Probably give a week between treatments even if you would like to use both.
