Quali-Pro MSM Turf Herbicide works great for Crown Vetch. Be sure that your turf grass is tolerant of this product.

You will use 0.5 to 1.0 oz of MSM Turf Herbicide per Acre for control of Virginia buttonweed. Per the product label, a subsequent application after 4-6 weeks may be needed. If you plan to tank mix with another herbicide, then be sure you do a small jar test for compatability first. The chickens would need to be removed from the area during the treatment and until the application has completely dried. It should be safe for the chickens to return to this area as long as the manufacturer's product label instructions are followed.
MSM Turf Herbicide is no longer labeled for crabgrass control. We recommend Drive XLR8 Herbicide with Duo Stick Surfactant for post-emergent control of crabgrass on most common turfgrass types (this is not safe for centipede or St. Augustine).

You can apply MSM during dormancy or after complete green-up of the Bermuda lawn in the spring. You don’t want to apply any weed controls to the lawn during spring green-up since this is when the grass is in its most fragile state.

MSM Turf Herbicide is safe to use on St. Augustine grass and is labeled to control seedling Virginia Buttonweed, but only suppress the more mature plants - repeat applications may be required in 4 to 6 weeks. This basically means that it is more likely to kill newer growth, but will have a tougher time killing the more established Virgina Buttonweeds. Best to start treatments when it just starts to emerge and is young
Yes, Quali-Pro MSM Turf Herbicide is labeled to kill lespedeza and can be used in Centipede and St. Augustine Lawns at the rate of 0.25 oz to 1.0 oz per acre for weed control. Some chlorosis or stunting of the turfgrass may occur following application however should recover.
For Lespedeza, the product label recommends the rate of 0.33 to 0.5 oz per acre.
MSM Turf Herbicide would be applied when target weeds are actively growing and healthy, the lawn can be dormant or growing. Please refer to the product label for complete instructions
