According to the manufacturer, if applying the product on trees and on the boarder of a pond the Nufarm Polaris Herbicide, it will dilute with the water and have little to no toxicity to any fish or aquatic life. Also, there are no drinking restrictions for livestock that wish to drink from the pond after treating with the Nufarm Polaris Herbicide.

Nufarm Polaris Herbicide cannot be used on lawns, walks, driveways, tennis courts or similar areas. The product label does states for Recreational use of water in treatment area, there are no restrictions for recreational purposes such as swimming or fishing.
