    Q
Will Onsalught stain cloth couches, chairs and drapes etc, if fan sprayed?
Could Onslaught be used as a fan spray for fleas indoors. And how is the odor of the product. Thanks Jeff.
    A

Onslaught is not labeled for use on furniture so we would recommend avoiding contact with couches, chairs and drapes.  You use on carpets as directed on the product label.  Onslaught is odorless.

Or we recommend that you use Ultracide for the indoor treatment as it can be used on all carpeted areas, pet bedding and upholstered furniture. Ultracide Spray contains Permethrin and Phenothrin to kill adult fleas fast. It also contains Methoprene (an insect growth regulator) to prevent reinfestation for up to seven months. Methoprene penetrates deep into the base of carpet and upholstery fibers, where pre-adult fleas live, and targets fleas in the egg and larval stages of development, preventing them from producing new infestations of breeding, biting adults. Be sure to thoroughly vacuum immediately before the treatment and every day for the next 14 days to help speed up flea elimination.

    Q
Is Onslaught good for clover mites?
I have read over the label and I do not see clover mites listed but there are other mites listed. Maybe I overlooked it. The exterminator says this is what they use for clover mites. I see talstar and Bifen IT are good for clover mites. Please advise. I need to get rid of these insects
    A
Onslaught Insecticide is not labeled specifically for clover mites, however it is labeled for mites in general and over 200 other insect pests. You should see great results with Onslaught, just keep in mind that clover mites are usually only active for a short time in the spring and fall. We recommend treating a wide barrier on the ground in the areas where you see the most activity on the house (5-10 feet) and also spot treating along window frames and other spides where you see them on the structure. Bifen IT or Talstar P have a different but similar active ingredient, bifenthrin, and they are our most popular choices for clover mites.

Onslaught Insecticide is labeled for European Pine Sawflies, Red Pine Sawflies and Redheaded Pine Sawflies, but not for Columbine sawflies, specifically. You could certainly test a small area before treating a large area.

    Q
Is Onslaught Insecticide a repellent? Can this be used in late summer/fall to deter overwintering pests, especially stink bugs.
    A

Onslaught Insecticide Is labeled for stink bugs as well as many other insects including overwintering pests. Unfortuntately, there is no way to permanently deter or repel them. The best control is achieved by routinely treating the exterior perimeter foundation of the home as well as indoors using a residual instecticide such as Onslaught. The mix rate is 0.5 fl oz to 1.0 fl oz per gallon of water. Please view the product label for more information.

    Q
My 5 month old female Frenchie puppy got out while spraying the lawn with Onslaught insecticide and was exposed to the wet grass. I noticed swelling and inflammation about 5 days after I sprayed and took her to the vet who put her on antibiotics. She is still showing signs of discomfort. Is there anything I can do to reverse or help her condition?
    A

Unfortunately, we are not medical professionals and we are not qualified to give medical advice. If your puppy is still showing signs of discomfort, we would encourage you reach out to your Vet again for recommendations or to be reevaluated.

    Q
How long will it take for Onslaught sprayed on yellow jackets and hornets to kill?
I have thousands of wasps and hornets infesting a willow tree and as we have been unable to identify a nest ad traps and baits have been largely ineffective, we've turned to Onslaught. I mixed 1fl oz per gallon of water and sprayed the offending swarm with the mixture so wondering how long will it take to start seeing results or dead wasps?
    A

Onslaught Insecticide is not an insecticide that offers fast knockdown so any pest sprayed with this product could potentially die within a window of approximately 72 hours. If you prefer to use a product that will provide quicker knockdown when yellow jackets area sprayed directly, then you can use PT Wasp Freeze II Aerosol. Please take a moment to review the How to Treat for Yellow Jackets Article located at the bottom of the Yellow Jacket Control Page.

    Q
Which product is better for bedbugs? Onslaught or Crossfire?
    A

For treating active bed bug infestations, Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate would be recommended over Onslaught Insecticide Crossfire will provide a knockdown affect while leaving a residual behind and also able to be applied in more areas where bed bugs hide. Onslaught would be better fore preventative or general purpose treatments.

Bed bugs require a combination of products along with diligent repeat treatments every 7-10 days until 30 days has passed with no sign of bed bugs or fresh bites. Crossfire Bed Bug Concentrate is included in our Pyrethroid Resistant Bed Bug Control Kit  which would be the best approach for treating active bed bugs.

Please view our Bed Bug Treatment Guide for more information on a how to do a successful treatment.

    Q
Is Onslaught Insecticide safe to be applied to furniture? My PCO applied Onslaught Insecticide to my carpets, upholstered furniture, and a glider in my baby's nursery. It's been over 10 hours and the odor is still strong, especially on the upholstery. I am concerned about this potential misuse by my exterminator.
My PCO applied Onslaught Insecticide to my carpets, upholstered furniture, and glider in my baby's nursery. It's been over 10 hours and the odor is still lingering, especially on the upholstery. The label mentions it's safe for pet beds, then just doesn't mention any other furniture and I've read other Q&A's this should not be applied to furniture.
    A

While Onslaught Insecticide can be applied as a broadcast spray to carpets, rugs, and pet resting areas for fleas – this cannot be applied as a surface spray on upholstered furniture, chairs, mattresses, etc.

The residual can last up to 90 days on indoor surfaces. We would recommend to thoroughly wash and clean any upholstered or fabric surfaces that were treated as an off label application. For additional information on removing any residue that remains, we would recommend contacting MGK directly at 1-800-645-6466.

    Q
Would Onslaught Insecticide be good for killing head lice?
    A

Onslaught Insecticide is not labeled to treat head lice. You should wash and dry personal items like clothing and bedding as well as cleaning/disinfecting hair brushes and similar items. You can use SteriFab to spray for lice on upholstered furniture. Allow to completely dry prior to sitting on treated surfaces. And consult a medical professional for assistance with a product to treat household members.

    Q
Does Onslaught Insecticide kill bed bugs?
    A

While Onslaught Insecticide is labeled for bedbugs, we would recommend this more for preventative or general pest control applications and not for active bed bugs.

    Q
Is Onslaught Insecticide effective against ticks and mosquitoes? Should an IGR be tank mixed with it?
    A

Yes, Onslaught Insecticide is very effective in killing and controlling both ticks and mosquitoes and recommended to be tank mixed with an IGR for best results.

For ticks and mosquitoes, focus on areas where they can thrive such as landscape beds with dense foliage, spraying the upper and undersides of leaves on trees, shrubs, bushes as well as areas around the home/lawn that stay shaded or damp.

View the Onslaught Insecticide product label for more information.

    Q
How long before I can mop and vacuum after Onslaught Insecticide?
Pest control came out to spray for fleas and used Onslaught FastCap and Gentrol IGR Con. It has been 2 full days since treatment. When can I mop our laminate floor and vacuum our carpets/rugs? I don’t want to make treatment less effective.
    A

Onslaught Insecticide and Gentrol IGR Concentrate have residual effects you would want to keep along treated areas, such as baseboard. You can wait 24 hours to mop/vacuum but be sure to avoid the areas along where the product was applied,  you will remove the product otherwise.  We would note that Gentrol IGR is not labeled to control fleas nor should it be broadcasted across floors, it is for spot, crack and crevice and fogging treatments only.  It would best to remove any applications of it from floor surfaces
