Optigard Flex Liquid is labeled for yellow jackets and wasps. On our website list there is *See label for complete list, of which the wasps and yellowjects are in included there. When treating for wasps and yellow jackets you will be treating their nests directly.
Optigard flex has a residual of at least 90 days indoors, however if you have a current infestation you are trying to eliminate you can respray after 30 days if needed.
Optigard Flex Liquid can be applied around the interior of the structure where the floor meets the wall.
Optigard Flex Insecticide is a great insecticide for ants. It is labeled to treat most types of ants, excluding pharoah and carpenter ants. Generally, when you are treating for ants, we would recommend using a bait in conjunction with an insecticide. We do have an Outdoor/Indoor Ant Kit that is specialized for your state. Optigard Flex Liquid has up to a 30 day residual outdoors and can be applied once every 30 days as long as you follow the product label instructions.
Optigard Flex Liquid cannot be used on fruit trees of any kind.
We would recommend Monterey Fruit Tree Spray Plus, which is a broad spectrum fungicide, insecticide, and miticide in one that will provide an ideal solution for your organic gardening problems, and is ORMI Listed. You can use this product up until the day of harvest.

We are not sure of the exact reasons why the manufacturer of Optigard Flex Liquid does not list bed bugs on the label other than the fact that it has not been tested for bed bug applications. We recommend using one of our bed bug kits. Generally, it takes more than one type of product to treat for Bed Bugs so we have conveniently included all the items in a kit. Optigard Flex Liquid, is not labeled for scorpions. Typically, a microencapsulated insecticide such as Demand CS or Onslaught Fast Cap Spider and Scorpion Insecticide is the best treatment. Optigard Flex does not list (Z)-9-hexadecenal as any of its active ingredients. The inactive ingredients are privy to the manufacturer and not disclosed, so we cannot say whether or not the product contains (Z)-9-hexadecenal. You may wish to contact the manufacturer directly for more information. You can reach Syngenta by calling 800-334-9481. We are not aware of a product that we currently carry that contains this ingredient.
Optigard Flex Liquid is labeled for carpentar bees. You will use at a rate of 0.27 - 5.41 oz. per 1 - 10 gallons of water. it does provide a 30 day residual outdoors. We also suggest that you read our guide on how to control carpentar bees.
Optigard Flex Liquid and Gentrol IGR have different modes of action so they can be applied in the same tank for applications. Please refer to the product label for complete mixing and application instructions for both products for your targeted pests.
One 8oz bottle of Optigard Flex Liquid will make approx. 16 gallons mixed solution. It will kill termites that contact it, but we recommend to use other more effective products for Drywood Termites. Please see our Termite Guide.
