For use in established perennial Bluegrass, Bermudagrass, perennial Ryegrass, St. Augustinegrass, Tall Fescue, and Zoysia turf; such as fairways, parks, golf courses, and lawns.
Apply to dry foliage only with a properly calibrated granular applicator at recommended rate in early spring before weed seed germination. If rain is not expected shortly after application, irrigation to remove herbicide granules from foliage will increase effectiveness.
For Crabgrass, Goosegrass, and Crowfoot control, apply 100-200 pounds Quali-Pro Oxadiazon 2G per acre (2 to 4 pounds active ingredient) or 2 1/4 to 4 1/2 pounds per 1,000 sq. ft. Late applications are not recommended and may not be fully effective.
For Annual Bluegrass control, apply 200 pounds/acre Quali-Pro Oxadiazon 2G (4 pounds active ingredient) or 4 1/2 pounds/1,000 sq. ft. in early spring or late summer prior to seed germination.
For Pigweed, Florida Pusley, Oxalis, Stinging Nettle, and Carpetgrass control, apply 200 pounds/acre Quali-Pro Oxadiazon 2G (4 pounds active ingredient) or 4.5 pounds per 1000 sq. ft. in early spring prior to weed seed germination.
For St. Augustinegrass turf, DO NOT exceed the rate of 150 pounds/acre (3 pounds active ingredient) of Quali-Pro Oxadiazon 2G.
Discoloration of Bermudagrass and St. Augustinegrass may result from use of this herbicide, but this discoloration is temporary and normally outgrown within 2 to 3 weeks.
Red Fescue and Bentgrass are susceptible to Quali-Pro Oxadiazon 2G and may be severely damaged. Avoid use of this product on turf containing Red Fescue or Bentgrass except where they are undesirable grasses. DO NOT apply to newly seeded areas. Seeding into treated areas should be delayed until 4 months after treatment. DO NOT apply to Dichondra or Centipedegrass. Quali-Pro Oxadiazon 2G should not be used on putting greens or tees because of varying cultural practices used.
APPLICATION:
Apply Quali-Pro Oxadiazon 2G anytime during the year prior to weed seed germination for weed control. Quali-Pro Oxadiazon 2G can be applied to both newly transplanted and established ornamentals. Application can be made to actively growing or dormant ornamentals. Rainfall or overhead irrigation after application of Quali-Pro Oxadiazon 2G will improve weed control activity. Quali-Pro Oxadiazon 2G should not be mixed into the soil. Cultivating or disturbing the soil may reduce the weed control activity of Quali-Pro Oxadiazon 2G. DO NOT apply to wet foliage or under conditions in which granules will collect on leaves.
Ground Application
Apply Quali-Pro Oxadiazon 2G broadcast to ornamentals at 100 to 200 pounds of product per acre (or 2 1/4 to 4 1/2 pounds per 1,000 sq. ft.) depending on the weeds to be controlled, as listed below. Remove existing weed growth before application.
