    Is Patriot WDG Herbicide effective for controlling Johnson grass in Bermuda?

    Patriot WDG Herbicide is not labeled for Johnsongrass in Bermuda. Certainty Herbicide is really the only selective herbicide that will treat Johnsongrass in Bermuda.

    How many ounces of Patriot WDG Herbicide do I use per acre for a Bermuda grass pasture?
    A

    Patriot WDG Herbicide is used at rates of 1/10 to 1 oz per Acre as a broadcast treatment, depending on the age of the pasture and your intended application. For spot treating, use 1 oz per 100 gallons of water. Do not exceed 1 2/3 oz per Acre per year. Please refer to the product label for complete application instructions.

    Is Patriot WDG Herbicide safe for residential centipede lawn, and do the granules dissolve easily?
    Don't want to damage my centipede lawn that took so long to grow. Have about 2 acres.

    Patriot WDG Herbicide is not safe for use on residential lawns and cannot be used on centipede grass. The granules do dissolve easily in water.

    What exactly are you trying to kill? We are happy to get you another product that is safe for use on centipede grass and can be used on residential turf.

    How good is Patriot WDG on pre-emergent control of woolly croton/goathead/hogwart?

    Patriot WDG Herbicide will only offer post-emergent control of woolly croton. Unfortunately, there are no pre-emergent herbicides that we know of which are labeled for this weed. There are many post-emergent herbicides that will control it, however.

    Will Patriot WDG Herbicide suppress zoysiagrass in my bermuda lawn coming from my neighbor?

    Patriot WDG Herbicide is not labeled for use on any home lawns, and it is not labeled to control or suppress zoysiagrass. We recommend you take proper care of your desirable Bermudagrass to help it out-compete any undesirable plants, and you can spot treat any zoysia carefully using a non-selective herbicide such as Killzall.

    Will Patriot WDG Herbicide kill trees and wild roses?
    I have a lot of whitetops growing around my large sycamore trees and wild roses on the fence. Will it kill the sycamore trees and wild roses?
    A

    You should not apply Patriot WDG Herbicide or other products containing MSM around desirable ornamental plants such as your sycamore trees or roses. It is probably best to hand pull or carefully spot treat the whitetop using a non-selective herbicide such as RoundUp QuikPro. Be careful that you do not spray the leaves, roots, or stems of the desirable plants.

    Will Patriot control bahia grass in clover and chicory stands?
    How should it be applied?
    A

    Patriot WDG Herbicide is labeled to control chickory and the label states that it could injure clover, so we would not recommend it for bahiagrass control in this type of area.  Grass Out Max could be an option when used with a Non Ionic Surfactant.  It is not labeled to harm either.

    Will Patriot WDG Herbicide tarnish or hurt the copper? I will be spraying in a cemetery and there are copper flat markers there.
    I know fertilizer turns the 87% based copper markers. Just making sure its ok to spray this Patriot on them.

    Will Patriot WDG Herbicide kill crabgrass and grass burs in Bermuda grass lawns?

    Patriot WDG Herbicide is not labeled to treat crabgrass or sandbur. We would recommend using a pre and post emergent combination approach for year long control. 

    Dimension 2EW for a pre-emergent to keep crabgrass and sandbur from germinating in the Spring and Fall.

    Drive XLR8 is a selective post emergent to apply when the weeds are actively growing.

    How much water and Patriot WDG Herbicide will I need to treat 10 Acres?

    The product label for Patriot WDG Herbicide states the application rate is 1/10 - 1 oz. per acre depending on where you are applying the product and what weeds you are trying to control, so just one bottle of the product would be needed to treat 10 acres. How much water you need will depend on where you are applying the product and with what kind of equipment. Please be sure to carefully read the product label before application.
